I don't know how many, if any of you remember Sensible World of Soccer or care but I have found there is a support group out there at swos.erdinc.info And they have updated all of the teams for the recent seasons, which is cool

Woohoo! I LOVED this game! Forget FIFA, SWOS was the business - and always will be. :)
Posted by beargod, 11:59, 8th September 2003:

It will indeed, especially with the updates

I do wish the original creators would take up the project again. I miss SWOS. :(

Yeah I know alot of people do, It was the best game for playing and management, although non of the players ever got old, or moved unless you moved them yourself
Posted by Gary, 12:13, 8th September 2003:

Ah, memories. I could live with the players not moving or ever getting old, though. The shear playability of the game was enough for me! I never had the game on the PC, though. I had an Amiga 1200 back then (still got it somewhere, actually) and some say the game was best on the Amiga anyway.

Yeah I enjoyed playing it more on my friends amiga then I did on my PC
Posted by beargod, 12:23, 8th September 2003:

I think it was mainly the jostick he had though
Posted by Gary, 12:26, 8th September 2003:

Must admit I always found the game easier to play with a gamepad.
Posted by beargod, 12:33, 8th September 2003:

Ack, no I always found it easier to pull back on a joystick to get hich kicks and score from the half way line :)

As far as i remember, sensible soccer ruled, but SWOS sucked ass.

(kick off 2 was better anyway)

Bah! That's a wimpy way to score BG! I always loved to dink the ball around the park, sweet passing movements etc., and then crossing the ball into the box where one of my players would (hopefully) connect with a flying header! :D

Victor: You haven't a clue what you're talking about man! KO2 was rubbish! Sensi took on a new dimension when it became SWOS!
Posted by Victor Menendez, 12:44, 8th September 2003:

I would accept that i haven't a clue what i am talking about if it was anyone but you "Gary" saying it. the only dimension SWOS took on was that of shittyness.

I only remember sensible soccer on the SNES and that was OK but the play ability was a little rubbish

I did like running the ball around the keeper in it though

I did love the goalkeepers in SWOS though they did make some tremendously good saves
Posted by Gary, 12:49, 8th September 2003:

Victor: Boooo! You must have mistaken KO2 for SWOS then. :P
Posted by Gary, 12:51, 8th September 2003:

Ah, the keepers were fantastic! But in earlier versions of the game, they were a little too good in some respects. I do, however, believe they stamped out the "scoring from the halfway line" trick. :P
Posted by beargod, 12:54, 8th September 2003:

Yeah I think that was mainly done in sensible soccer. He he he I remember In the SNes Version Raul Fox was a star player, I think for Spurs, but that made me laugh :)

Saturday is youth pull day on Hattrick, and as per usual, mine was a bit crap, i was going to sell him but then i noticed his name "Lucky Sweet" how can you fire a man like that?
Posted by Gary, 13:17, 8th September 2003:

Ah, BG! You're bringing back soooo many happy memories! I remember Mr. Fox well - he was super, super fast! Give the ball to him and he flew down the wing, the ball sticking to his feet like glue! :D

bah, another passable defender for me.

Although I did win on sunday, might be down to me injuring there keeper and someone getting 1 1/2 stars taking his place :)

LUCKY SWEET!
Posted by beargod, 14:31, 8th September 2003:

This is 100% FACT
Posted by beargod, 16:18, 8th September 2003:

Indeed, but not sensible soccer, just swos

Indeed it was, Cal. Thank you. :)

Woah! Doh! Silly me...

Victor: Boooo! You must have mistaken KO2 for SWOS then. :P

What I meant to say was he must have mistaken SWOS for KO2! :P

Posted by beargod, 11:38, 9th September 2003:
