there was no giant octopus, i cant remember how he got out, it is on channel five every other week, i shall investigate and get back to you

The Goonies sucked ass. The Goonies sequal (if such a thing really exists) will suck and that ugly bunch of talentless tossers are only excited about it because its probably the only work they can get. Corey Feldman? if you told people he had died in 1989 would anyone be surprised?

Ah, you've been watching the TV version.
There was a giant octopus, Data threw his ghetto blaster at it to kill it, but it was cut from the telly versions.
However, on the beach at the end, Data still said 'The Giant Octopus was very scary'!

Oh yeah, Sloth goes back for the Fratelli's (bad guys) and carries them up the beach at the end.
All the Goonies jump in front of him when the Sheriff threatans to shoot him.

It a film, by Steven Speilberg, it's about a bunch of kids.
