Ive written two letters of resignation for a friend. Which one should she use?

A:-

Dear Twat,

I have found another job. They want me to start next week so I will be breaking from my employment with you then. I am owed overtime and holiday so I will use those to cover some of the notice I wont be working. If you have any issues please feel free to consult my non-existent contract.

Yours thank-fuck-fully,

The Big T

B:-

Dear (insert name)

It saddens me to have to write this letter but unfortunately I have to. Its content is to inform you that I will be terminating my employment with you on the (insert date). I have been offered a position within another firm that I feel suits me better and is much more inline with my long-term goals. Although I have enjoyed my time here at (insert company name) I would be a fool to miss out on the opportunity that has been presented to me.

Thank you for the skills and friendships I have developed and I wish you and the company all the best for the future.

Yours Sincerely

The Big T

He should use B. he's free to verbally tell his boss what he thinks, but written proof is a different kettle of fish.

I wouldn't use either unless he was deliberately going out of his/her way to annoy his previous employer. Obviously A) is meant to do that but B) is still patronising although it tries not to be.

Have a look at www.i-resign.com for some better ideas.
