....I have a question. What (in your opinion) is the worst film ever made???

I nominate the absolutely awful "Human Traffic", with "Showgirls" coming in at a very close second.
Posted by Grim..., 17:23, 1st October 2003:

Blair Witch 2.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 17:23, 1st October 2003:

I watched Film 2003 last night as well, i saw one on it that gets my vote "Drop Dead Fred"
Posted by Grim..., 17:24, 1st October 2003:

Or maybe 'Traffic' =[

It's funny, me and a mate were having this discussion *before* Film 2003 came on, just after we saw Dark Water. There was a poster of "Showgirls" up on the wall at the Phoenix, where we saw it (they're showing it as part of some season or other) and I said to my mate Jo, "2nd worst film ever, that. Human Traffic's the worst". He agreed, which was nice. Got back, put the telly on, and Wossy was conincidentally talking about crap films. T'was weird, that

"Three Men And A Little Lady" deserves a mention, too.
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:45, 1st October 2003:

and "Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow"
Posted by frankie, 17:52, 1st October 2003:

You should get your mate Jo to come on here and tell us his worst films.

Disney's Hercules was shockingly awful, but I don't know if that counts. I can't think of any really bad films as I tend to avoid watching things I don't like the look of and so can't comment on them. Although what I could stand to sit through of Show Girls made me want to cry. and cut my eyes out. and my ears off.

Romper Stomper - utter shat!
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:56, 1st October 2003:

Showgirls was a horrible (and in places, irredeemably sick) film.
Posted by chandler, 18:06, 1st October 2003:

yup Hercules is B A D

Blair Witch Project was a waste of a few quid
Posted by chandler, 18:17, 1st October 2003:

I knew it would be shite before i parted with my hard earned cash.

so i didnt
Posted by Victor Menendez, 19:09, 1st October 2003:

Having gone into Blair Witch two with no expectations, i didn't mind it really.
Posted by reitsma, 22:44, 1st October 2003:

there's a dodgy horror film that was released a few years back, called CUT.

now that was one ordinary movie.

Well I fell for the hype of BW I did expect to be slightly scary but I nearly fell asleep
Posted by plindoe, 08:16, 2nd October 2003:

All blair witch needed was a good ole pack of lemsip, that would have cured her runny nose!

And shite films, Titanic.
Posted by beargod, 08:21, 2nd October 2003:

BW, I did fall asleep in

Boogie nights was very shit, not even the naked heather graham could encourage me to watch the whole of it even though i was bought it for my birthday, once

MR T AS A BEARDED LADY!!!!

Posted by Victor Menendez, 11:53, 2nd October 2003:

Didn't superman 4 feature 'Nuclear Man'?
Posted by cal, 11:58, 2nd October 2003:

Posted by arsepuppy, 13:01, 2nd October 2003:

Cal: Where did you see it / get a copy of it? I've been looking for ages.
Posted by cal, 13:13, 2nd October 2003:

blackstar found me a copy. it has a really fucked track (very quiet with lots of noise) but the vision is fine.

Last night I discovered a new contender for worst film ever:

"Feardotcom"!

Agonisingly shite. Could dethrone Human Traffic.
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:37, 8th October 2003:

I also watched some weird film called "May". Possibly the first film to ever give me the creeps (and also contains some Doc lUUUcid-esque eye mishaps)..
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:41, 8th October 2003:

HER EYE NEARLY ROLLS INTO HER MOUTH EWWWWW!!!
Posted by beargod, 17:53, 8th October 2003:

I thought eyes wide shut was very boring, not even the nakedness could keep me awake, and that was in the uncomfiest cinema seats i have ever been in
Posted by arsepuppy, 18:06, 8th October 2003:

Speaking as a big Kubrick fan I'm tempted to call you a heretic but to be honest, that film did smell a bit. Which was a shame seeing as it was his last film :(

Sorry to hear about your job BG, I didn't know. I wish you the best of luck in finding something new though.
Posted by beargod, 19:07, 8th October 2003:

cheers dude.

I went to see it because it was a kubrick film, but then i watched it, they had a really poor actor for the male role too ;)
Posted by arsepuppy, 19:20, 8th October 2003:

Yeah, Mr. Cruise sucks.
Posted by tommorris, 19:39, 8th October 2003:

Anything featuring Hulk Hogan.

Posted by earthworm, 21:54, 8th October 2003:

Boo! Just thought I would mention 'Breakfast Club' and 'Weekend at Bernies' and maybe also 'Men at Work' with Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen!!
Posted by Sul, 08:02, 9th October 2003:

Weekend at Bernie's is brilliant!!!!!

Superman Collection - rah.

www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000059Z8... GBP27.50 inc Delivery.

I didn't even know there was a Superman IV, so even with it being shit, i'm gonna get this.
Posted by Sul, 08:31, 9th October 2003:

What? Then you've never heard of Nuclear Man!!!!!
Posted by ilovebeerme, 08:51, 9th October 2003:

Don't agree with Traffic, The Breakfast Club or Romper Stomper so far. Traffic was extremely good and the other two were not bad at all, although The Breakfast Club is probably 50/50 due to childhood memories.

Charlies Angels was utterly abysmal. Not even the three ladies in catsuits kept my brain from melting. I know it was just meant to be fun but it failed. Complete toss.

Vanilla Sky was great up until the massively shit ending. Quite why it had to be painfully explained at great length by a guy in a lift I don't know. Not a contender for worst film perhaps but definitely for worst dumbing down.

The worst I think i've ever seen was one my mate quoted as his favourite ever (and he wasn't joking) called Dream a Little Dream. It had Corey Haim and Feldman in it, not a good start. Featured a mind swap with an old man and was as entertaining as re-lacing all your shoes. Really really bad.
Posted by cal, 09:04, 9th October 2003:

i quite like The Breakfast Club
Posted by Victor Menendez, 09:28, 9th October 2003:

Nuclear Man kicks ass!

Reign Of Fire = utter utter pish!
Posted by Grim..., 10:31, 9th October 2003:

Lies, ILBM.
Traffic was utterly, utterly dire.
At the cinema I (and Cal) was in everyone applauded when the film finally finished.
Posted by ilovebeerme, 11:16, 9th October 2003:

I enjoyed it and even bought it on DVD! I've only watched it once though. I loved the way it was shot. I also liked Benicio del Toro's character and loved the bit with the execution in the desert. I also like Luiz gusman as a general rule and Don cheadle. It was slow but thats not a bad thing.
Posted by arsepuppy, 11:48, 9th October 2003:

ROCKY III IS THE BEST FILM EVER YOU CUNTS :(
Posted by arsepuppy, 11:49, 9th October 2003:

Sorry.

I really like Breakfast Club. A genuine 80's classic.

Charlie's Angels? GASHAMUNDO!
Posted by jlittle, 12:05, 9th October 2003:

Reign Of Fire was good, I also liked the Breakfast Club.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 12:08, 9th October 2003:

Reign of fire was good?? hmmm...
Posted by ilovebeerme, 12:31, 9th October 2003:

I quite liked Reign of Fire too. Could have been better though.

Star Trek Nemesis was a massive disappointment. Looked like it had been edited with a rusty spoon.

Weekend at Bernies is SHIT!!

I was made to watch it by Sarah and Mikee (a friend of ours) and they fell asleep quarter of the way through!!!

Also, Men at work was SHITE!!

Hang on mate, you've already said Weekend at Bernie's was shit! :)
