www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000A...

They've already released a sequel to sodding Lilo and Stitch on DVD?!? Whaddafuck??? The original didn't even come out that long ago.

Mind you, Disney have always been shite so this doesn't *really* surprise me....

I really loved Lilo and Stitch but they often seem to do rubbish "sequels" like Toy Story ones just featuring Buzz Lightyear or Sing along with Baloo etc

I thought Lilo and Stitch was crap =[
The Lion King is the best Disney Film, IMO, and The Jungle Book has the best song (Oo-be-doo!)

I really like Monsters Inc.

The best Disney film is the unwatched one.
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:36, 3rd October 2003:

The only Disney films worth watching are the excellent "Lion King" and the good "Aladdin". The rest are gash, I'm afraid.

On a threadjacking note... have you heard the rumours of Courtney Love's death???

Standby for a re-release of the Hole back catalogue.....

Monsters Inc rocked you friendly friend!!! >:(

Someone mentioned in passing that she'd OD'd. Didnt hear she'd kicked it though.
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:50, 3rd October 2003:

I liked Monsters Inc but it isn't technically a Disney film, innit.
Posted by arsepuppy, 17:51, 3rd October 2003:

According to the Holy Moly mailout, word is breaking out that she has kicked it.
Posted by Sul, 17:58, 3rd October 2003:

Not technically a Disney film huh? Ok I'll go with that. It wasnt made by grossly underpaid 8 year old Korean animators so it doesnt count.

(the above statement may or may not be true)

Made by Pixar, not Disney. I heard they don't even like Disney themselves but still have to honour the distribution contract with them.

Disney, of course just distributed it and made money off it. FWIW, they also distributed "Pulp Fiction"

Chay should be able to clarify the Pixar/Disney dispute story. If it's still going on.

Yeah Disney and Pixar are not happy bedfellows Disney have been looking for a new partner. Pixar seem more laid back about it. Mainly cos Finding Nemo (Pixar) has already outgrossed The Lion King (Pure Disney) as the highest grossing animated feature of all time. and it isnt even out here till next week. So Pixar are all "Ner ner ner neer ner" and Disney are all "well we don't want you as our best friend any more" (thought that has been true for a couple of years) and Pixar are all "haha cry baby" and disney are all "humph". With the excemption of New Groove and Lilo and Stitch Disney's recent Animated Feature output has been pretty lacklusture with nothing really big since the lion king (certainly not Herclues, Treasure Planet or the appauling Fate of Atlantis)

But then Disney as a wider organisation are still one of the main distributers of live action features so its not like they will close down. and they have their lovely theme parks, freaky TOWN and the Austrailian branch churns out these straight to video sequels very cheaply by the bucket load.

So there we go.
the end.

They own Miramax, don't they??
Posted by chandler, 19:05, 3rd October 2003:

...which in a way could be taken as a metaphor for Disney's entire oeuvre...

Yeah, but did you know that Michael Eisner has got rabies? He runs around trying to bite kids and infect them.
