In fact, it was announced yesterday, it hasn't been released yet.

20.10.2003
P900 announced today!
At simultaneous events in Las Vegas and Beijing today, Sony Ericsson unveiled the much anticipated P900 smartphone.

Persistent rumours of a follow-up to the successful P800 have preceded the launch, proving the strong interest for Sony Ericsson’s Symbian-based smartphone offering among application and content developers, corporations and consumers alike.

The P900 will start shipping to EMEA and APAC markets in Q4, for US in Q1 and the P908 will start shipping in China in Q1.

Where are AMEA and APAC markets?
Here?

Cal! I'll give you £100 for your P800!
Posted by cal, 08:58, 21st October 2003:

AMEA: America
APAC: Asia Pacific

EMEA means Europe, Middle East and Africa in our company.
Posted by Grim..., 09:43, 21st October 2003:

Oops, yeah, it said EMEA, not AMEA.

Yay! I might get one of those...

Get a life, not a new mobile.
Posted by Grim..., 13:37, 21st October 2003:

:raises eyebrows:

If you saw the state of the mobile I currently use, you'd understand.

It a good enough phone, but the charger connections are crap so you have to fiddle with it for ages to get the connection.

I recently bought a nokia 6510 off a mate...

Posted by Grim..., 14:33, 21st October 2003:

But the flip down bit has buttons.
Posted by cal, 15:03, 21st October 2003:

Which is a bit like making love to a beautiful woman .........
Posted by Grim..., 08:48, 22nd October 2003:

Er, Maybe...

...But I don't often scream at the woman and throw her across the room if she does say 'Beep - Optimised Charging' after five minutes of fiddling...

I prefer two yoghurt pots and a piece of string. It manages to span the space between my flat at the wendy house outside.

The yoghurt pots aren't level, they'd be a bitch to stack at waitrose.

Humm i feel that isn't quite the uber-nerdtech it could be:-

*&$*%% Not quite got the link working, but it's the Motorola 920a, very nice.
Posted by tommorris, 16:09, 22nd October 2003:

Wow, I go to book a railway ticket, I get back and here's my diagram.
Thanks cal!

Nishi: If you want to do a link, just do it in HTML, for example:

<a href="/your link here">Your text</a>

Or you could just type 'www.something.com' and the board will link it for you...
Posted by tommorris, 17:59, 22nd October 2003:

Vic - they were level, but some tramps came round and bust up my wendy house and almost destroyed the yoghurt pots in the process.
Posted by Mr.Nishi, 18:05, 22nd October 2003:

Unfortunatel I couldn't link to the page I want cos....erm......well I just couldn't OK!!!!!!

Cheers though i was messing around with other forum stuff like that and that made it go even more wrong...

On the subject of chargers, I absolutely hate the iBook / Powerbook chargers. Why Apple couldn't have used an ordinary charger that can be replaced for about £10 rather than a unique one that costs £70 to replace. Oh well, story of Macintosh really.
Posted by cal, 11:16, 23rd October 2003:

because they designed one that's very nice looking instead. the plug glows. mmmmm

i have two ;)
Posted by tommorris, 13:26, 23rd October 2003:

I have three. Unfortunately, one is broken. Wanna swap?
Posted by cal, 14:13, 23rd October 2003:

not especially :)
Posted by tommorris, 14:28, 23rd October 2003:

Understandable. I'm a bit "forceful" with my laptop. Perhaps that's why it fucks up over a dialup connection.
Posted by Mr.Nishi, 15:09, 23rd October 2003:

Forceful? which hardware interfaces do you have that we are missing out on?
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:13, 23rd October 2003:

A USB "El-Kabong" melee guitar.
