Anyone know the best way to go about changing your name? How much, best process etc. For some reason the sites are barred here :/

In theory, changing you name is free, if you can do without a lawyer to fill the form in for you.

Er...

What are you going to change it to?

deed poll fill in the form, there you go, new name. of course getting a new passport and all the rest of it is a hassle, plus learning to respond to a new name of course

(it's ok once you get used to it)

I've been considering changing my name to Spiderdan Sullivan just for a year or so for a laugh. Chris here at work said he'll pay for it for my birthday next year if its not stupidly expensive. I'm gonna take him up on his offer.

I want all legal documents so I can get my credit cards and passport etc changed.

An Adult Deed Poll costs just £39. If you are changing anyone else's name (another adult or child) at the same time and living at the same address, each additional Deed Poll will be discounted by £15 (i.e. £24 for an Adult Deed Poll and £28 for a Child Deed Poll). All prices include VAT and our standard delivery service.
Prices for our Priority and Express delivery services are given in section 7 of the application form.
