Morning everyone.

Cheers Foggy, looks like we're singing from the same song-sheet.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 10:41, 10th November 2003:

We certainly are.
Posted by Kitty, 10:46, 10th November 2003:

Is it really not worth going to see the new Matrix then? I really enjoyed the 1st one but havn't seen the second one.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 10:47, 10th November 2003:

Dont go!! Its a total waste of time. Do your nails, wash yer hair, bake a cake, anything...just dont waste your time and money.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 10:50, 10th November 2003:

My generation had a Matrix-like film. It was called 'The Highlander' It was a great idea for a story, told with vision and verve. Then came crappy cash-ins. And ideas that tarnished the memory of the first one. "Oh BTW, We are Immortal because we come from the planet Zarg" This is my reason for not going to see the crappy Matrix sequels, I really enjoyed the first film. I don't want to have it let down in the same way.
Posted by Sul, 10:54, 10th November 2003:

The Thirteenth Floor. has the same sort of idea and it doesnt have any shitty sequels either. Watch that instead.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 10:59, 10th November 2003:

The first ever Highlander is a complete classic!!
Posted by jlittle, 11:01, 10th November 2003:

Kitty - don't listen to Vic or Fog! Go and see it and judge for yourself (watch the 2nd on DVD before seeing the 3rd).
Posted by Kitty, 11:13, 10th November 2003:

Hmmm........I suppose I could cop out and watch the 2nd & 3rd on DVD at a mates, so at least I could get to see 'em, but not have to waste any money in case they are shite!

Good morning!
Posted by Kitty, 11:15, 10th November 2003:

MORNING!

:-)
Posted by Victor Menendez, 11:19, 10th November 2003:

There's another even crappier Highlander sequel. It should win awards for shitty film-making.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 11:23, 10th November 2003:

Hang on, Time for a new thread.
Posted by cal, 11:24, 10th November 2003:

i like the thirteenth floor - it have never occured to me that it's pretty much the matrix story
Posted by beargod, 12:26, 10th November 2003:

Highlander films are still being made
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 12:27, 10th November 2003:

what? Still being made?

Have you taken your medication this morning?
Posted by Sul, 12:38, 10th November 2003:

There's a highlander series isnt there? Or is that a cartoon?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 12:41, 10th November 2003:

....but not films.
Posted by Miki, 12:47, 10th November 2003:

Sorry, but there is a Highlander 5 in production called Highlander: The Source and expected in 2004
Posted by beargod, 12:52, 10th November 2003:

They have made like a highlander every two years since the fist film (A little exaggerated but not much) and yes they had/have a tv show, which is crappy too.
Posted by Sul, 12:52, 10th November 2003:

I'd prefer if it was Highlander: The Sauce. A sort of new spicy tomato ketchup.

Or Highlander: The Saucy. The porn satire

Or Highlander: The Sauced. A kind of drunken master type take on the film.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 13:01, 10th November 2003:

There's a Highlander 'Fist Film'?
Posted by Victor Menendez, 13:04, 10th November 2003:

Highlander: The Sauce (Return of Big Daddy)

(And Tom Thumb)
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 13:05, 10th November 2003:

Must be porn!

Rosie sayeth Did anyone else watch the end of Prime Suspect last night?

I did. It was the dog's. Apparently Helen Mirren turned down several scripts for other Prime Suspect stories before accepting that one.
