Also, let's look at a film like Sul mentioned (The Thirteenth Floor) - on the IMDB it has had 5,446 votes, and averaged at 6.4/10.
All three of the Matrix files have got a better rating?
My point? Statistics are useless, some people will love a film, some people will hate it. Your within your right for hating it, but I really enjoyed it, so don't slate the people that have differest tastes to you (not that you have this time round, but you did after Matrix 2!).
You are confusing Slating the people who like the Matrix with Slating the Riddler/DirtySanchez/Matrix'ers. Those people are fair game.
I'm happy that you enjoyed the film.
(although liking Armageddon,Independence Day and the Matrix sequels draws a picture for me)
The first Matrix was good, cant argue with that but then it just got a wee bit silly. Cashing in on a good film always (IMO) results in the 2nd/3rd films being shit.
With the honorable exceptions of Rocky and Superman.

Well i had an interview for natwest, and i should find out how that went today.
I also had my sainsburys induction yesterday, and now i have no idea where to go tomorrow if i go in.
I don't think it was a cash in because all 3 parts were storyboarded before the first one was even made. Allegedly.
Anyway I thought the third one was ok. It was a good action movie but didn't deliver what was expected. For the first time in the three movies I'd say Keanu's acting was actually woeful as oppose to awkward. The first movie was fantastic and kinda caught people by surprise (Empire and Total Film didn't even have it in their 'Preview of the year' for 1999). The next two would have had to have somebody spectacular in charge to pull it off. As much as I enjoyed Bound (fnarr) I don't think Larry and Andy are those two.
The battle scene for the dock was incredible and made the movie the rest was average everyday stuff. The fight in the rain was total dog shit.

I thought the ending was good. They both HAD to die otherwise any credibility would have gone in a heartbeat. It was obvious but then the film is about predetermination and the nature of choice so the ending shouldn't really have been as surprise.

Go and see it if you have nothing better to do. Oh and comparing it to the Highlander and Highlander 2 drop in stamdards is just utter nonsense.
Anyway it was better than i thought it would be.
