We can now buy a razor with *four* blades. How many is too many? When will it end?

(and the ad uses a really shit version of the femmes' "blister in the sun", which is otherwise a great tune)

dunno, I always rip my pits apart, I haven't found anything that makes shaving a more pleasant experience.

pft, my disposable razor has 1 blade, and it does the job fine

I can see the product meeting now:

Suit "We need a new product quick"
Razor developer "Well we have a three blade razor with a special guard and strip that automatically seals cuts and applies aftershave and does the users laundry but we're just fresh out of ideas"
Suit "That's no good, we need new ideas"
Work experience boy "Why don't you just add an extra blade"
Suit "Brilliant, lets go to the pub"

Frankly, if it took any more meetings or devlopment than that there is something very wrong with the world!!!

I think we should all go back to shaving with a big knife, just like Crocodile Dundee did. Now that would be cool.

using big scary blade shaving small delicate areas would not even be worth considering.

cutthroat razor. thats where its at
Posted by luke, 22:46, 12th November 2003:

Kezza, I never said you wouldn't have to practice :)
Posted by luke, 22:47, 12th November 2003:

Until some madman at Gillette invents a two bladed cutthroat razor, and then a three bladed............ad infinitum
Posted by Kezza, 22:48, 12th November 2003:

can I practice on you first then? I plan on keeping everything in its original condition down there.
Posted by luke, 22:53, 12th November 2003:

erm, sorry, I'm erm, leaving the country, erm, important work, bye!

I must have a sign on my back saying "don't trust me with razors of any sort" My boyfriend won't even let me shave his face with one of those mach3 things
Posted by luke, 23:08, 12th November 2003:

Maybe his tune will change now that these four blade razors are out! Then again, that's an extra blade of damage just waiting to happen
Posted by reitsma, 03:49, 13th November 2003:

no doubt it will cost four times as much too.

i've developed a thrifty way to keep up with the times - by taping 5 disposable razors together, i'm leading the race!

you're such an inovator! :p

(luke! you're back! how are you?)

mach 3, you cut yourself once, it cuts you three times!
Posted by ilovebeerme, 09:46, 13th November 2003:

I just rub my face with a brick. And no the b is not upside down! Cheeky sods.
Posted by Sul, 09:56, 13th November 2003:

I hate a shave thats too close. I tried using a mach 3 but feeling my face after gives me that sensation as nails-on-a-blackboard does to many people.

2 blade disposable for me.

Cal: Yes I have returned!!! Things are pretty much the same as usual really. This year has really blown though. 2003 can kiss my arse :)
Posted by arsepuppy, 18:04, 17th November 2003:

I've got a nasty looking 3 line cut on my face due to a Mach 3 related mishap. I look like Adam Ant with an Adidas sponsorship.
Posted by Sul, 21:28, 17th November 2003:

How the fuck did you manage to damage yourself with a Mach 3? Did you fall asleep on it? Are you Michael J Fox?
Posted by beargod, 21:35, 17th November 2003:

I went on Holiday one and had a dry shave with my Pen knife blade laying down, I really am a lazy bastard, couldn't even be bothered to find myself a mirror to check it was all cut off
Posted by Sul, 21:38, 17th November 2003:

why bother at all?
Posted by Redmaiden, 23:21, 17th November 2003:

lmao @ beargod

lmfao @ the Michael J Fox stab.. oooh that's below the belt Sul :D

As all students know, you shave once every week (monday) with whatever's to hand when you're 10 minutes late leaving for lectures... it's like going to work, but you don't have to be neat and presentable first thing monday, yay!

there is a lad in our office who uses a disposable and soap...

personally I use a Mach 3 and King of Shaves gel or oil...

have you noticed that you can feel really shite but after a shave, you can face anything??

Also, I have never v=cut mysef shaving apart from with an electric shaver... it caught my adams apple and cut the skin (boo!!)
