I think it's been a pretty good time for movies recently. Being bored at work I decide to list my favourite 10 from the last few years. If you haven't seen any of these then they are highly recommended.

1) Amelie
2) LOTR Trilogy
3) Moulin Rouge
4) Donnie Darko
5) The Thin Red Line
6) Fight Club
7) Punch Drunk Love
8) Spirited Away
9) The Man Who Wasn't There
10) Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

Also enjoyed Ringu, Y Tu Mama Tambien and About Schmidt

Still to see and expect to enjoy: City of God, Lost in Translation, The Last Samurai and Igby Goes Down.

That is all.

Surely that's 12 movies?

Donnie Darko and Kill Bill are on my list. Can't think of any others at the moment.

Don't forget Memento and Adaptation.

Yeah i was counting LOTR as one because as a whole they are spectacular.

I meant to have adaptation on my 'to see' list. Memento was great too but I think i need to watch it again.

Dunno how far back you are going but what about Shawshank Redemption?
Posted by Victor Menendez, 15:30, 7th January 2004:

err, probably not that far. otherwise we'd be talking about Citizen Kane and Gone with the wind.

Shawshank was wonderful but it was out in '94 i think which is a bit far back for what I was meaning. It is great though.
