The heavy wind has aided me in casting my revenge upon the umbrella wielding public. Look at them all struggle as I walk on effortlessly. Mwahahahaha!

On a side note it comes to mind that Batman only needs a powerful fan* in his utility belt to defeat the Penguin.

*the kind that moves air not Geoff Capes holding an "I {heart} Batman" sign.

Ah but then the penguins umbrella sheds it's trecherous fabric covering and becomes a helicopter in times of need. Batmans fan would be thwarted!
Posted by Sul, 09:58, 16th January 2004:

Bah! Good point. That Penguin's a tricky one.

Sul, can you walk effortlessly in a high wind? And aren't you getting wet? (If you'll pardon the exp.)

I want to buy of those umbrellas with the ears. I've looked every where up the high street - but I don't think anyone sells 'em anymore!

Did anyone else here have those green wellies with frog eyes on them when they were little??
Posted by WarHead, 10:16, 16th January 2004:

When were frog's eyes little?

(I know '/pedant.' Hardy har.)

Indeed I am getting wet but unlike my dry friends trying to poke my fucking eyes out I'm not a big wimp about it. And I can walk pretty effortlessly in high wind. I'm aerodynamicly thin.

Isn't your mobile computing device also getting wet? What fantastic technology is this that allows you to walk effortlessly in the pissing rain and a howling gale, yet still converse with us?

Posted by WarHead, 14:01, 16th January 2004:

Rosie: the possibilities, as I see it, are:

1. You don't like people invading your personal space and when they get to within a foot, your natural 'fight or flight' instinct kick in.

2. PMS (or is it PMT these days, I can never remember.)

3. You're just a nasty piece of work.

4. Someone has pissed you off today.

5. Something else.

BTW I don't think it's no. 3.
Posted by Rosie, 14:05, 16th January 2004:

i think I'm going to go with #3.

PMS is the politically correct form.. t was for tension, s is for syndrome, makes women sound less like unreasonable hormonal monsters..

What do you mean that wasn't you?
Posted by WarHead, 00:51, 17th January 2004:

You have to be carefull here. Mention anything dodgy and a lot of the guys immediately get defensive. Or pretend to be. They feel guilty. Or pretend to.

One thing I have learned in my brief time here is that it can be hard to get people to talk seriously on some subjects, unless it's something where someone has a specific problem, like a landlord who's trying to evict them, in which case they can be very helpful.
Posted by Liandle, 07:59, 19th January 2004:

Thanks Warhead, you are a real sweetheart. Please send me some emails (if you want to)

Thanks for making me feel welcome. I guess what I really needed was to have someone to talk to. (sad hey); so this is not really the right place for me is it? I will have a look around for something more my personality. I guess I'm too serious for my own good. But it has been fun and it has taken my mind off some not-so-nice-stuff.

Cheerio
Luv ya
Lianne
