The tennis-playing incarnation of sprem is playing tomorrow in the Australian Open. Good luck Karolina.

Are you saying she's made of sprem?
No just that her surname is sprem.

As opposed to what? Letting it dribble down your chin even MORE unnatractively?
Not that I've ever seen anyone do that, you understand.

Bad news... Ms Sprem lost 6-3 6-4. I'm sure she tried her best though.
Posted by
tommorris, 17:42, 20th January 2004:
I'm tempted to make an RSS feed so that we with aggregators can sit back and watch the progress of Ms Sprem with glee.

What's an RSS feed and an aggregator?
Posted by
tommorris, 17:44, 20th January 2004:
Okay, it's an ugly solution (MyRSS)...
RSS feed:

An RSS feed is a file written in XML that lists recently posted articles on websites. It is used so that people can grab a big list of sites they like, and read them all in one aggregator which means that one doesn't need to browse each site individually. An example of an aggregator would be Cal's
UKBlogs Aggregator which syndicates posts from the cream of the UK blogosphere (as well as my site). If you look carefully, you'll see iamcal.com posts in there. You can also get aggregators which are based on your computer so you can grab headlines from a list of sites and read them at your leisure outside of a web browser.

What, the RSS or the numerous sprem references?
Posted by
Coppers, 21:10, 20th January 2004:
The RSS - I had no idea you could do stuff like that. That's not saying much with my IT knowledge, mind!
The sprem references too, obviously.

Actually, on MJ related things, check out what a future version of iamcal could look like...

That's nice.
Who's Rick Dees?

A guy who interview Michael Jackson.

I was trying to find some decent source material for MixMaster, but most of the MJ fansites had less about MJ on them than here.
I'm thinking about changing sides and becoming a Jacko apologist.
u dont hav 2 botherwith spelling and punctuation

I see that Karolina Sprem (huh huh huh, you dork Beavis) is going to be playing in Paris on the 9th. Anybody want to try and get a ticket and hold up a "SPREM IN YOUR ANAS" sign? Maybe you could have MJ in the background?
Posted by
tommorris, 15:30, 2nd February 2004:
Perhaps we could persuade one of iamcal's many, many Parisian residents to do it, otherwise we could all club together and pay for one person to go on one of the cheapy airlines.
Posted by
cal, 15:44, 2nd February 2004:
i love the idea that we'd all have to "club together" to buy a £10 air ticket :)
Posted by
tommorris, 15:58, 2nd February 2004:
Well, it was more the B&B and the odd slap-up meal that we'd have to club together for.

Id go but I dont think I can get the time off.
Posted by
tommorris, 16:36, 2nd February 2004:
Instead, we could just be lazy and wait until Karolina Sprem comes to Britain then all turn up with our SPREM IN YOUR ANAS signs and hand them out to Karolina fans en masse.
It would be an interesting protest.
Posted by
tommorris, 21:25, 2nd February 2004:
So, is anyone up for it? Anyone want to go to Paris this weekend, get a ticket to Karolina Sprem's match, hold up a sign saying "SPREM IN YOUR ANAS" and get a fellow spectator to take a picture of you doing so. Or, perhaps you could mingle a bit and get Sprem herself to hold up the sign.
Or if nobody wants to go there is always a game in Antwerp on the 16th Feb. Perhaps we could get someone to hold up a sign there.
Posted by
tommorris, 21:28, 2nd February 2004:
Or perhaps we could launch a 'support' site for Sprem: sprem.iamcal.com
She's updated her site. After her tour round the USA, she's booked up to play in Belgium.

tom: The sign idea is hilarious :D
Unfortunately, if we started with that, we'd HAVE to do something with photos and Jacko, what with iamcals unhealthy obsession with him.
