lotr sucks

I'm quite proud to say I haven't seen any of them or read the books.

I haven't seen any star wars movies either
Posted by arsepuppy, 14:23, 27th January 2004:

Although I enjoyed the last film, I tend to agree with Cal. Star Wars is shite too (Except for the suprisingly quite-fucking-brilliant Empire Strikes Back)
Posted by doltage, 14:28, 27th January 2004:

As I say, my badge of honour is not having seen any of them.

Really winds the fans of the movies up, but I'm a stubborn bugger at the best if times!

They're kids' films!

That's one of my lines for harry potter fans as well, I'm scarpering as I type this.

If I see one more adult reading a bloody Harry Potter book.... whyioughtta...

*shakes fist*

"lotr sucks"

FUCK YEAH IT DOES MOTHERBITCHES!

It's complete wank!

Blimey, I never realised crap movies (that I've never seen, and as such have no basis for that opinion) can be so emotive.

Is too much caffeine being consumed?
Posted by Sul, 14:56, 27th January 2004:

Ive had NO coffee or tea today but I HAVE had two cans of CocaCola.

Not nearly enough caffeine.
Posted by doltage, 15:02, 27th January 2004:

I'm just off to make myself a cuppa coffee now that the caffeine bug has been awoken, almost time for a cig break as well.

Yip-skippity-doo!

I'll step up and say I liked the LotR films. Well, a lot, to put it plainly. Only because it was a choice between watching Lord of the Rings or watching bloody Finding Nemo. All in all, (sometimes snooty, but preferably not) foriegn films are my preference.
Posted by arsepuppy, 18:02, 27th January 2004:

I bet you hated "Los Christianos Y Los Furricos" (1997)
Posted by WarHead, 22:41, 27th January 2004:

I don't give a bugger who knows that I like the films, and have read the books many times, and still enjoy them.

So there.

Eat my shorts.

You're so "down with the kids" dude!

You tell 'em... ;)

LOTR: like the books a lot, like the films a lot
Harry Potter: like the books, like the films
Finding Nemo: Love the film

/waits patiently for the 'abuse' to commence

As a spectacular film, shot and acted well and all that, I think that LOTR is pretty good (not seen the 3rd one yet, though). As a phenomena, I don't really see what the fuss is all about. Are people not just hating it to voice their dislike of all the hype and crap?
Posted by cal, 14:06, 28th January 2004:

is dislike it because i found them all to be genuinely dull. i didn;t find any of the characters engaging or well developed, the story plodded aimlessly, i saw little motication for the events that took place and action scenes were used to mask the dodgy acting (elija wood sucks so bad) and lacklustre script.

"Los Christianos Y Los Furricos" (1997)

It could have developed better. It started off with a beard-twitchingly shocking scene of a church filled with furry Latino anthropomorphic creatures, but no real character development happened and the film was shockingly plot-free. All that happened was after the service, they came out and danced along the street to the sound of the Macarena. I mean, stereotyped or what? Just because they have Latino roots, does not mean that they enjoy the Macarena. The facial expressions that could have made the film in to a true cinematic masterpiece were lost due to the director's decision to hide all the faces behind furry animal masks. Could do much better, but not totally unwatchable as some critics have stated. 2/5.

You copied/pasted that from imdb, didn't you, you big pseud ;)
Posted by tommorris, 17:44, 28th January 2004:

No, but I'm going to copy and paste it to imdb, or at least a surreal parody of imdb, as soon as possible.
