Try to imagine yourself in this scenario:
As an experiment, you get thrown into a padded cell. You have a straight-jacket on. (arms bound quite tightly to body) There are no windows or visible doors. (air coming in through airconditioning vents) Even the roof has thick padding. Every day, a hatch opens and a plate of food comes though, along with a bottle of water with a straw. This goes on for days and days and days...what goes through your mind? what do you do to stay sane?

Heh heh. Lol at the Java references. I was just reading this in a textbook and it's related (and quite amusing)...
Dad: But we did get stuff for the kids to use on it.
Mum: We got some educational software for the kids, at that point we were determined they weren't going to play games [Laughter] I would like Steven to get involved in other things. I've tried a few times to interest him in various things and it's the games, definitely, that dominate his computer usage.
Interviewer: Right. And so that's a...
Mum: Steven, what's the problem?
Steven: I'm just saying that I'm going to bed now. And games rule!
Steven: Visual Basic sucks!

Perhaps we need an "Are you geek or not?" site

Ho! These people are WAY WAY better looking than me. I think I should get honorary geekship on the basis that I look worse than any geek. (Even though I am not clever enough to be a geek)
The web category 'sex' is filtered.
Bah!

Argh! The whole domain ami.iamcal.com is filtered on this network. Bah! Humbug to you censors! May you drown in the vile pit of despotism whence you came, scumbags.
I'll have to have a look at Am I Geek when I'm back on my home wifi.
