Who is that strange person?
*choke*

Who, the poster or Ceausescu? The latter is a Communist dictator in Romania.
There's a book about him:
www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0...
He led Romania from 1965 until his overthrow and death in 1989.

I know who Ceausescu is, I was on about the poster....
That was me you eejit ;)
He was my favourite Romanian Dictator also.
Although my all-time favourite Dictator would be Idi Amin.

Nothing beats the classics for me: Hitler, Stalin, Reagan et al.

I concur with Abe.
Amin was a barrel of laughs. The Entebbe incident was *hilarious* ;)

But without Reagan, we would have the comedic extreme xenophobia of Rocky IV...
...on the other hand, this means Reagan is indirectly responsible for Apollo Creed's death. Bastard.

He doesn't remember it though, poor chap
Apollo Creed? The First Man on the Moon?
I like the way that Reagan wins the cold war, ensures a decade of relative peace for the west and removes (or at least reduces) the threat of Nuclear Armageddon which was hanging over us all. And people accuse him of being a Dictator.

I meant Reagan doesn't remember being responsible for anything

LOL!
Police everywhere! Justice nowhere!
Reagan 'wins the cold war'. Now, given my now-non-student viewpoint, surely that's just a little bit absurd.
It's not like Reagan brought down the Berlin Wall or anything like that...

(I was taking the piss at a 'humour' level not at a quasi-socialist level.)

(Although it's barely humour. It's more sort of guilt by association)

But wasn't the dismantling of the Berlin Wall a result of the end of the cold war?

I like the part in the Idi Amin speech to the Queen when he said something like:
"Thank you very much for your hospital (hospitality). When you come to Uganda, be sure that we will revenge! (return the favour)"
Any one heard that one?
