Well, those are big words for me! *wicked laugh*

What profound ideas have you had whilst being intoxicated?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:07, 13th February 2004:

ideas? Whilst being pished? none, are you mental? I think about sex, cigarettes and my next drink.

I've thought I was the greatest singer that ever lived.
Posted by Perclissigi, 16:00, 13th February 2004:

I made a song...
called the vodka song :S
i'll put it on my site tomorow nite if you like.
Posted by Uma, 16:03, 13th February 2004:

Is your site up and running now? What's the address? Can you give me the link?
Posted by Perclissigi, 16:07, 13th February 2004:

i've just bought the domain, so it should be up within the hour :)
its still a bit ropey, just a test kinda thing. Very much am "i'm
still learning to do this" site! And i need to make that vodka song
an MP3, so i'll do that tomorow :)
Posted by Uma, 16:08, 13th February 2004:

Okay. Cal can help you with your site maybe? He's a whizzkid!
Posted by Uma, 16:14, 13th February 2004:

Although he might be too busy. He's got a new job.
Posted by Perclissigi, 16:17, 13th February 2004:

I'll ask his advice maybe, but i do want to do the whole thing myself!
I'm doing a module on this at Uni anyway, and i want to learn it properly :)
Posted by tommorris, 16:52, 13th February 2004:

If you've got questions (the usual crap: PHP, MySQL, HTML et al.), do ask. I might be able to help. Probably not. But I might be able to.
Posted by Perclissigi, 17:01, 13th February 2004:

:) Ok, well, i'll just get a basic version up and running first hehehe.
I'm learning pretty fast, and i have a few books on it, so it won't be too dire!
HTML - I'm getting there
Anything else - AGH! i've never learned any scripting or programming languages,
sooo... its just a case of not being too intimidated i guess!

Lots of things seem like a good idea when you're pissed. Like having more to drink and then going for a curry and/or kebab. I have made it a rule never to succumb to the idea that I am an ace driver when I've had a few, even though i know it's true.

Another good one is deciding to walk home without a coat when it's either brass monkey weather or pissing down.

In fact most dire things seem perfectly logical when you're innebriated.

Like the fallacy that one finds oneself under after x pints, when you manage to convince yourself that...

"Although I normally can't drink anymore then x pints and function the next day, I am surprisingly fine now, and am impressed by my newfound resistance to alcohol. Therefore I am obviously able to drink at least a further 2+ pints, and even some shorts and still get up for work at 8 the next morning"

Cue next day...

"Oh no. I appear to have been mistaken. My eyeballs are bleeding, someone is repeatedly hitting my head with a second hand Austin Metro, and my kidneys and liver are slithering out of the door under their own steam, waving a white flag fashioned from my underpants... Bugger"

In the interest of seriousness, just spent half an hour or so trying to console a slightly tipsy, but lucid and tearful 16 year old girl I bumped into in the alcove outside my flat. She was upset 'cos her boyfriend "does pills" and she doesn't like it, and thinks it's wrong. So much so that she burst into tears every time I mentioned it. If the twat had been there, I would have happily beat some sense into him.

She was so upset, and rightly so.

Areshole. Told het to stick to her principles, cos she was right...
Posted by Brock, 00:55, 15th February 2004:

Just been to check on her, for those that care, her mates have arrived to pick her up, and she was still in tears and all upset.

What are we all doing? What IS all this obsession with drugs and all that crap? I am SO angry about all the "easy way out" principle that drugs provide that I am unable to contain my anger, and need to vent. Sorry. Maybe this isn't the place to vent, but it's the only place I have, right now.
Posted by WarHead, 01:04, 15th February 2004:

Vent away, Brock. I'm right behind you. We're living in a strange world, and it's getting stranger every day.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 10:25, 15th February 2004:

I'm not impressed Brock, why didn't you take advantage of her tearful youthfullness and tempt her back to yours with a Lollypop and a promise of the Powerpuff girls?
Posted by Brock, 11:08, 15th February 2004:

She was actually very attractive! But she was SIXTEEN. You dirty old man!!!

Was waiting for one of those little fella's with horns to appear on my left shoulder and start whispering in my ear...

But I realised that letting a girl as young as that experience the awesome sexual experience that is a portion of red hot Brock-lovin' would be deeply unfair and irresponsible. To have the best sex of her life by far at so young an age is to consign her to a lonely lifelong and fruitless search of a further sexual experience that was anything other than disappointing by comparison.

I couldn't ruin her life. With awesome talent comes great responsibility. *sigh*
Spiderman's uncle told me that. Or something.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 11:30, 15th February 2004:

Nonsense, Who better than the Brocketeer to ease her into womanhood?
Posted by Brock, 13:00, 15th February 2004:

It's a fair point. And well made.

/sounds of receding footsteps. And a door slamming.

Just kidding, Sicko!

Not entirely sure about all those drugs comments.. I don't think they're generally seen as an 'easy way out' or anything like that..
