Right, My phone has developed the habit of dropping calls and all service often and at complete random, and I am utterly fed up with it. I am, however, too old to be aware of the smart new phones on the market. i only really know what Nokia's are like to use, and like the OS. I like the Nokia 6230, but it's not out yet, and the 8910i seems a bit old hat now, and will be rapidly out of date.

I am keen on Bluteooth (despite the security issues...) as I think it is pretty good, and I am not keen on a phone that is too big (I have an 8850 now). A camera seems logical too, but not essential.

Help, oh techno-people...what else is out there?

Sony Ericsson T610... i love it :)

Has the required Bluetooth, Camera and its sexily small... it's a bit odd to get used to at first, as it's not a Nokia, but you get used to it in a day or two...

I got that one too, Its the best phone i've owned.

Yoghurt pots! Yoghurt pots!

No, but honestly, get something old and reliable rather than something with a million pointless features. Then buy yourself a decent novel and read it when you would otherwise be pissing about with your phone. The effects will be noticeable for most people.
Posted by Brock, 17:10, 14th February 2004:

Ok, Abe. It's the best phone you've owned. But if the other was a Motorola Star-Tac, I'm not impressed.

Give me something to go on!!!!
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:11, 14th February 2004:

Ok then smarty pants, Its the best phone that ever existed, exists now or will ever exist in the future of humanity.

Happy?

I don't have that bluetooth thingy but it sounds interesting. I have a Nextel phone. I really like the PTT - "Push To Talk" feature which lets you use the phone like a walkie-talkie. It's great when I do side jobs with my friend and I need to get in touch with him for a quick sentence.

Abe: Frame of reference!!!!

You have no idea what a grumpy twat I can be with something I paid a fair bit for and hate... I need to make an informed choice. It would help me greatly to know more of your personal experience.

Now stop being an arse and tell!
Posted by chris, 17:17, 14th February 2004:

I find it scary that Abe and I have the same name and phone (mines better then his though)
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:22, 14th February 2004:

With a frame of reference, 10 being the phone that God uses and 1 being a phone belonging to an Albanian refugee, the Sony Ericsson T610 scores about eight.

Ok? Happy? Jesus, what am i, the Good Phone Guide?

And Chris, Your phone sucks compared to mine, which has a semi-naked Nov as the wallpaper.
Posted by Brock, 17:27, 14th February 2004:

Right! That's it!!

/enters Frohman, Abe in "English guide to unhelpful and obstructive arseholes".

*fumes quietly*

although am thinking lude thoughts about Nov Wallpaper...;)

Hehe.

I'm sorry Brocketeer, I will try to be more helpful.

It can send text messages!
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:49, 14th February 2004:

And receive them.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:50, 14th February 2004:

How cool is that?
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:50, 14th February 2004:

you can ring people, Even if you can't remember their number, as long as you have entered it into the 'memory'
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:50, 14th February 2004:

people can ring you! even people you don't know.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:51, 14th February 2004:

sometimes people send a 'text message' telling you that you have won substantial amounts of money.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:52, 14th February 2004:

(this is mostly bollocks)
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:52, 14th February 2004:

you can take pictures of things.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:52, 14th February 2004:

and send them to disinterested people on the world wide interwebnet.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:52, 14th February 2004:

you can plug the battery into them things in the wall so that it doesn't die.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:53, 14th February 2004:

but if it does die, you can bring it back to life with the same action, like a modern-day Lazarus.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 17:55, 14th February 2004:

How that for you?

Helpful enough?
Posted by chris, 18:59, 14th February 2004:

Must keep my eye on you... You're trouble, I reckons!
Posted by Abe Frohman, 19:37, 14th February 2004:

get a Sony Erricson P900, my friend has one, it's the coolest thing ever. God uses this phone
Posted by Abe Frohman, 19:47, 14th February 2004:

Pah, learn your Georgian English what what?
Posted by Brock, 20:07, 14th February 2004:

btw, that would make the P900, by sal's admission, a 10 on your scale then, would it, Abe?

But how would that leave the T610 the best? It's worse by 20%!!

You know nothing but sausages, that much is apparent...
Posted by Abe Frohman, 20:23, 14th February 2004:

Right, bollocks to you. That's the last time i try to be helpful, It's all sarcasm and defamation of character from here.

(you tit)
Posted by Sul, 20:46, 14th February 2004:

Get Sul's big gay phone's older brother. The motorola v600. Its soooooo pretty. :)
Posted by chris, 23:07, 14th February 2004:

Brock, unless you have a spare £300 odd pounds plus the price of a contract phone, the p900 is a bit expensive!

i think the p900 is about £500 when new and unattached to a contract
Posted by Brock, 00:37, 15th February 2004:

Abe: (kiss my chutney, you mother) Thanks so much for your help... You're great...
Posted by cal, 00:44, 15th February 2004:

i have a p900 - very nice

but i recommend that short fat white nokia - very good camera
Posted by Abe Frohman, 10:26, 15th February 2004:

Cheers mate, glad to be of service.
Posted by sal, 18:58, 15th February 2004:

chris, but it's well worth it. It is the coolest thing ever and the moment my friend's back is turned- I will be stealing it :p
Posted by Brock, 19:06, 15th February 2004:

But it's too big and chunky! It's like carrying a brick around.

A flash, rather cool and capable brick, mind you, but still a brick...
Posted by Sul, 19:43, 15th February 2004:

v600
Posted by Vikki, 00:14, 16th February 2004:

Posted by chris, 21:04, 16th February 2004:
