How the fuck were we supposed to know THAT?

I thought it was about some foreign footy player called Umbrellas being dumped by his team (presumably Blackburn Rovers).

I was working on the lines of Rover dropping the idea of supplying tartan golfing umbrella's in the boot of every car as standard equipment.

What with them being old mans cars and all that.

How the hell did you get a Rover to San Diego? Don't people point and laugh when you drive by? Apologies - I meant 'drive PAST.'

(slowly)
Posted by Brock, 12:13, 20th February 2004:

Or do you mean 'drive by" in the american sense? Who's going to laugh at your car if you are shooting at them?
Posted by WarHead, 12:21, 20th February 2004:

Americans, that's who.

Actually, I apologise. That was an Amercicanism and I FUCKING HATE Americanisms creeping into our loverly Englerlish Langhuage.

I shall edit it forthwith and notwithstanding the afformentioned hereafter.
