Particularly the last one. No heating in the studio then?

Was going to make a suggestive comment as well, but I would get cussed to the moon and back. And I'm still pissed that I missed the chance at all the ring gags on the other thread...

*sulks*

Very nice, but you look a bit pasty. A couple of hours in the sun or a couple of pints of Bisto would do you the world of good.

Sorry Desi, someone's been editing their posts.

BTW - what do you mean that all images are 'work safe?'
Posted by November Eclectica, 03:57, 3rd March 2004:

You came across one of the old galleries. Next time I will have to be more careful and just post a picture myself, rather giving access to the gallery that belongs to the photographer.

When I say the images are work safe, that means there is no nudity.

You must have been looking at his other work and came across one of the older shoots.

Trust me I have naughtier ones then that, but I won't give access to them and this is why.

How the devil are you today, after all these shock revalations?
Posted by Uma, 18:19, 3rd March 2004:

You mean that I am Liandle?
Posted by Abe Frohman, 18:20, 3rd March 2004:

Yeah, that was a mighty shock.
Posted by Uma, 18:22, 3rd March 2004:

hehe. Well, I knew *you* didn't buy it. No flies on you eh? Am I forgiven yet?
Posted by Perclissigi, 18:24, 3rd March 2004:

Yeah, that's the one :)
Doesn't bother me that much, i arrived after Liandle, so i don't know,
it annoyed me a bit, since i kinda trusted you, but hey, as long as you really are
being honest now, its cool!
Posted by Uma, 18:25, 3rd March 2004:

Sorry about that. Didn't mean to betray anyone's trust. It stinks...but you live and learn.
Posted by Perclissigi, 18:27, 3rd March 2004:

Uh-huh, It is tempting to make shit up, it can be fun, but usually only for the person
making it up, i feel a bit stupid now! But the gullible is my middle name!
Posted by Uma, 18:29, 3rd March 2004:

Why? You know me as Uma...how were *you* to know I wasn't? Besides, like I said...I promised cal I would be honest and since Uma I have been.
Posted by Perclissigi, 18:30, 3rd March 2004:

ok, fair point :) like i said, forgiven, no skin off my back now.
TBH most the people on here make me feel stupid!
Posted by Uma, 18:33, 3rd March 2004:

Posted by Perclissigi, 18:34, 3rd March 2004:

Don't be silly :) you're an accountant! I'm sure you could earn much better money working over here! Move to england and work over here, save up,then go back to SA and use the convenient 14 Rand to the £ exchange rate to become a multi-millionaire!

Apart from that... things are great!
Posted by Perclissigi, 18:52, 3rd March 2004:

So more fanta = bad idea Doc?
Posted by Uma, 18:52, 3rd March 2004:

Doesn't sound great to me. Sounds like crisis management. Like *my* life. Why'd you lose your job?
Posted by Perclissigi, 18:54, 3rd March 2004:

Well, i kinda txt'd in sick, on a sunday, and then ignored my phone when they tried to call me back.
Didn't go in on monday, haven't heard anything....

Posted by Perclissigi, 18:59, 3rd March 2004:

When i can afford to pay those off i will!
The store card is only £18 so that's not a biggie.
Its the £500 overdraft that bothers me...
Being a student sucks.

Posted by Perclissigi, 19:07, 3rd March 2004:

I *cough*Live with my Dad*ahem* but he wouldn't
help out even if he could, and my mum can't afford to.
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 19:09, 3rd March 2004:

Dude. Well, it'll make you hyper if you drink enough of it.

In my student days all I ate/drank was tea, coffee, biscuits, toast, marmalade, hummus, pasta, tomatoes, beer, red wine, whiskey, cherryade, rice, green apples.

Saying that, that more or less sums up my diet now anyway. Heck, you can live cheaply as a student. I bought over 170 CDs in my 3 years before studenthood, and 12 whilst I was at uni in the next 3 years. It's just a case of cutting out stuff you don't need.
Posted by Uma, 19:10, 3rd March 2004:

I'm sorry. Will you email me?
Posted by Perclissigi, 19:14, 3rd March 2004:

Of course i will Uma :)
Doc, cheers for the advice, i know i can live on the cheap, but
its just hard when everyone else is going out, and (i hate this word)
"Networking" is such a big element in the course i'm doing, so i
gotta be out and about.
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 19:18, 3rd March 2004:

Oh, yeah, I understand that. You can still go out, definately...

I don't know.. I got searched on the way into this club the other day, and they found my hip-flask full of whiskey that I had totally forgotten about... fortunately I managed to rescue it on the way out...
Posted by Uma, 19:18, 3rd March 2004:

What you need is a sugar mommy
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 19:18, 3rd March 2004:

Yippie.
I'll mail you later Uma, if i don't tonight, then definately tomorow!
Posted by Uma, 19:49, 3rd March 2004:

Okay. Cheerio
Posted by Brock, 20:38, 3rd March 2004:

Um, Perci? You are moaning about your debts. That is NOTHING my friend, believe me...

When I was a student (4 years), I was thrown out of 3 banks ("In that case, Mr Manager, i shall take my overdraft elsewhere!"), I had 2 credit cards, and 4 student loans, and an overdraft. I left with £5.5K debt.

Still. It's not all bad. It only took me 8 years and one County Court Judgement to pay it off! Hahaha! As long as you keep paying them something and be all apologetic, you can get away with murder, trust me.

Interestingly though (for Doc at least) a fair proportion of that money went over the bar at The Bell in St Albans (or PJ Peppers, as i believe it is now) and The Blacksmiths Arms... That should surprise you!
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 00:03, 4th March 2004:

Are you telling me the Bell is now called PJ Peppers? That's funny for so many reasons!

You went to Herts? That's crazy talk! Always was more of a fan of the Bee Hive myself, but I've been down the Blacksmith's quite a few times... dude, so many pubs in St. Albans, so little time to go to them all...
Posted by Alfie, 00:49, 4th March 2004:

Also interestingly the "bell" is a type of pepper
Posted by jeffld, 06:43, 4th March 2004:

I need a sugar mommy. Show me the money.
Posted by Brock, 09:43, 4th March 2004:

The Bell changed about '95 didn't it? The bar used to be in the middle, and not on one wall. Or was that before your time... I'm talking around the time the Vintry opened...
Posted by Brock, 09:43, 4th March 2004:

Alfie: Interestingly? Hmmm.
Posted by WarHead, 12:40, 4th March 2004:

Jeeez, I'm glad I'm not starting out again. Takes a long time to get yer finances in some sort of order, in fact mine are still not as I'd like them.
Posted by Uma, 12:47, 4th March 2004:

In what respect?
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 13:25, 4th March 2004:

I've never been to the Bell. I was always a bit too scruffy to get past their threatening door staff, and I never really wanted to go there anyway. Went to the Vintry once, but again not really my cup of tea.

- The Bee Hive (where I'll usually go)
- The Firkin (alas no longer there)
- The Fighting Cocks (alas now terrible)
- The Crown (also gone downhill. used to have a nice pub quiz)
- The Horn (quality pub, also a favourite)
- The Rats Castle (terrible, but it's my local, and I used to work there)
- The Robin Hood (nice and quiet)
- The Farmers Boy (fine ales, unusual atmosphere)
- The Cross Keys (good in the dayrime, hideous of an evening)

can't think of any more I'd regulary go to off the top of my head...
Posted by Brock, 13:37, 4th March 2004:

I only go to pubs off the top of my head, every now and then. Never regularly. Too likely to get in a fight in that state.

What happened to the Firkin?
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 13:39, 4th March 2004:

It got bought up by O'Neils and is now a dreadful irish pub. One consolation is the late licence. Although it used to be the old library, back in the day...
Posted by Brock, 14:07, 4th March 2004:
