So. What do the lovely iamcal'ers eat of an evening. is it healthy? Is it home made?
I shall start, then. Rump Steak, mushrooms, Mashed potato and Mange Toute bean thingy's with gravy. Gently washed down with a Lovely Shiraz. Mmmmmm. And all cooked by my own fair hand for under £5.
(In case you haven't guessed, I am bored, need to do some CAD work, and can't be arsed. Hence the distraction...)
Well, i prepared myself a HUGE bowl of egg fried rice and chicken.
The chicken was already cooked but I prepared the rest myself, and
proceded to eat the whole lot, with chopsticks, and washed it down with
fanta.
So, not REALLY unhealthy, and also home made, also
for much less than 5 GBP (My keyboard is in american mode, long story)

Er, I had Quorn mince with some sort of curry sauce, mixed vegetables and rice. N.B. Mrs WH is on a diet atm, hence the tasteless pretend mince. Washed down with Lucozade.

i had some chicken soup, and a french stick with it.
tasty, it was. i paid AU$2.20 for the french stick, and mum gave me the soup, which means i spent 0.901089 GBP for dinner for my fiancee and i.

Finished Bottle of wine now... decisions... Coffee or Vodka.
Vodka, though good, will not help me finish modelling the Solid Assembly I have to do this evening, and make it look like a Dial Gauge, or indeed work like a Dial Gauge.
Coffee, though good, is not in any way, shape or form, vodka.
*sigh* I hate decisions.
:(
Coffee... seriously, i had a NASTY run in with vodka a few nights ago. Steer clear of it if you have work to do, otherwise you'll end up getting pissed off cus you'll know you should be doing something else.

not to mention, it was right after i took her out to the movies.
for your information, i also took her out and spoiled her the previous day for her birthday.
...and she loves her ring. Sure, it's only 0.3 carat, or something like that, but that makes it big enough to see, but not so large that she has to take out insurance for it, and worry about it when travelling.
now, onto your next post - if i'm not sure if i want ice cream or chocolate cake for dessert, i know what the obvious solution is. Surely this solution is applicable to you too - it's time for your own version of a black russian.

You guys eat badly. You shouldn't be mixing your carbs and proteins. It makes you crazy.

How's the weight-loss going, James? It sucks having to watch what you eat. I've done it all my life, and now it's just second nature. I tend to put weight on very quickly, so I have to watch it all the time.
I'm trying to stay healthy, since Jen and another one of my friends are on a diet, it's kind
of hyporcitical of me to say "stick to your diet!" when i'm sat here eating pizza every day.
So i'm going to be healthy instead. I never realised how hard it is...
Posted by
Uma, 13:19, 19th March 2004:
It's awful. But I eat whatever I like once a week, and stick to the diet during the week. It's the only way I can manage my weight. And with excercise.
Yeah, that's what Jen's like. I might find that I *have* to eat pizza, or i'll waste away and die... possibly? I never seem to put weight on you see. Even if i want to, i'm always 9 and a half stone. (Just over 60kgs for Uma, or 133 pounds, for you americans )
Posted by
WarHead, 13:25, 19th March 2004:
I never used to have be careful about diet, really, because I was cycling to work, doing karate two or three times per week and having one serious swimming session every week. Then I had back trouble for a while and had to stop and it's damn hard to get going again once you've stopped.
Posted by
Brock, 13:25, 19th March 2004:
I advocate the "Poo-more" diet. People always worry about intake. Surely it's a matter of balancving that with your output. I reckon that all you have to do is eat what you want, and just crap more. Spend an extra 10 minutes on the can every time.
It's bound to work, isn't it.

Uma, 13:27, 19th March 2004:

Ok, just cus *you're* inadequate, doesn't mean we all are brock :p Believe me I have NO problems in that department!
And i would like to beef up a bit in general Uma yes. I think it's more the fact that i need to put on muscle than fat. And i wouldn't worry about weighing more than me, you're a woman and you're probably taller than me too!

yeah i used to go swimming a lot at uni but since i started work i've just had too much freelance and been too tired to drag myself down there.
I hate going to the gym but swimming is good. winter makes me want to curl up and drink tea a lot though.. summer should inspire me to get out more.
Wouldn't know, having never been. I prefer more home-based exercise.

Uma: No, not jen :( And as predicted, i felt shite afterwards :( this was a few weeks ago anyways, and right now i can't get jen out of my head.
Bloody hell, it's CHUCKING it down outside :/

Yeah, i eat very little.. had some kind of potato curry with coconut milk and coriander and carrots and mushrooms last night, in fact, which is quite a positive thing.. normally it's just a grapefruit, and possibly some cheese or hummus..
I'm about 9 stone, but I'm really small, so I'm not as waif-like as that makes me sound..
