I missed the first half of Black Books because of your lack of warnings.
Posted by Brock, 11:41, 19th March 2004:

You think that's bad. I missed all of it.

:"(

Posted by Brock, 11:54, 19th March 2004:

jeff: Yeah, rub my face in it, why don't you.

I assumed Abe meant Son Of a Bitch, but I'm sure he will change to something else if I'm right...

;)

Yeah, I meant Son Of Bitch, But cal's crappy coding doesn't allow for consecutive capitals or the ability to edit thread titles.

i saw it and i thought 'shit why am i watching this it's shit'
Posted by Brock, 12:14, 19th March 2004:

Do you never think with punctuation?

I bloody missed it *again* due to being dragged out on the piss again like every Thursday. Why do Channel 4 persist in putting all their good comedy shows on that day? Twunts.
Posted by Sul, 12:21, 19th March 2004:

Its not Ch4's fault, it's Chay's fault. The big twatface.
Posted by arsepuppy, 12:25, 19th March 2004:

I tend to blame Chay for everything anyway, rather than blame other assorted individuals. It's easier.

I've got it on tape, but didn't see any of it. I still can't make me mind up whether it's SO crap that it's genius, or it's really crap.
Posted by arsepuppy, 12:36, 19th March 2004:

Neither can I really. I still want to see the new series though as the penny still hasn't dropped for me on it yet, despite seeing all of the first series.

It kinda shouldn't be funny, but it is. Then again, I'll watch anything with Bill Bailey in it. The man's a class act.
Posted by Perclissigi, 12:54, 19th March 2004:

Amen to that :)
Posted by jeff, 14:06, 19th March 2004:

bill bailey is amazing. I went to see one of the episodes being filmed and i laughed solidly for the whole thing.. apart from the bollocks warm up man..
Posted by arsepuppy, 14:09, 19th March 2004:

He's ace. I heard that that isn't he real name though. Which is funny since Axl Rose's real name is Bill Bailey, I believe.
Posted by jeff, 14:18, 19th March 2004:

Bill Bailey just had a baby.. well his wife did, a few months ago.. he was very happy.

The best thing about Black Books, and probably why you cant understand sometimes why things get such big laughs, is because they improvise and change each scene every time they reshoot it. Dylan Moran is a very funny man.

He is indeed.

He's a firestarter, Cockney firestarter.
Posted by jeff, 14:40, 19th March 2004:

he starts the cockney fires
Posted by Abe Frohman, 14:40, 19th March 2004:

He gets his cockney matches.

It's about time they repeated his Beeb2 series, particularly because I didn't know it was on until about the last but one episode.

One of my all-time favourite moments was BB doing the moonwalk BEHIND THE DESK on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. I played it over and over again on me video until I was weak with laughter (about 1m 38s)
