Has anyone seen any good April fools yet?
Or even better, has anyone fallen for any?

I wanted to tell everyone at work I was pregnant; and could i have the maternity leave...but they'll all laugh themselves silly :(
I did get this which I thought was quite funny
file.sugarqube.com/Cards/jblo_TheWormGam...

Brock: Stop looking in the mirror then.

Wek? Africaans? Or how folk in Weatherfield say, 'work'?
Posted by
Uma, 12:38, 1st April 2004:
Afri
kaans. No, some of the black people here pronounce it 'wek' yes, meaning work. English is so strange, I mean we should really say wurk because work doesn't sound like dork. Never mind...you can understand people getting confused with English is all I'm
trying to say

Uma, 12:52, 1st April 2004:
...consequently I never laugh at people who can't speak it properly
Posted by
Brock, 12:53, 1st April 2004:
I do.
That may not come as a surprise to any of you. :)

Brock, 12:59, 1st April 2004:
'appen.
Posted by
Brock, 13:07, 1st April 2004:
For reference, I don't mean foreigners who can't speak it properly, I mean English people (like Northerners/East Anglians). Oh. And you better include Yanks, that is the exception to the foreigners bit.
Especially Yanks, actually.
Posted by
WarHead, 13:09, 1st April 2004:
Northerners??? Fuck off you southern nancy twat.
Posted by
Brock, 13:11, 1st April 2004:
Hahahahaha!!!!
Chain succesfully tugged...
2 minute response time? Not bad.
Posted by
WarHead, 13:13, 1st April 2004:
You will pay for that, monkey brains. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but in the fullness of time. Keep looking over your shoulder. And it was after mid-day, so it ain't a valid April Fool trick.
So ner.

Hadn't noticed the thread title, actually, so it was a coincidence.

Meridian news just did a story on a new substance discovered by a scientist in the region called Lirpa 1 (or is that lirpA?) which you can mix with water apply to something then make it change colour by sending an electric impulse through it.
Quite nicely done, I thought.

Grim..., 09:47, 2nd April 2004:
Give a fuck.
Posted by
Brock, 09:49, 2nd April 2004:
You smooth bastard.
I shall steal that chat up line forthwith!
Posted by
Grim..., 17:22, 2nd April 2004:
Here's a good chat-up line:
Excuse me, but does this hanky smell of ethanol?
"organize all the useful information in the universe and serve it to you on a lightly salted cracker."
Why does that sound like something from HHGG?
Posted by
Uma, 21:24, 2nd April 2004:
Perc! :) ola!
all of that would fit onto one grain of the salt with many miles to spare
Hehehehe *inane giggling*
Sorry, heavy night "celebrating" the exam last night. Only just go back :S How are you?
Can I also say "BOO!" to Kaila! Did you finish writing that thing you were supposed to? Did you have a REALLY bad hangover?
Posted by
Uma, 21:41, 2nd April 2004:
perci, come on over here and let me smell your breath.
you're still pissed aren't you?
Not as such....
Isn't it funny how "Just a couple of beers" can turn into a whole night out, ending up outside a late-licence bar at 1:30 in the morning, with about 30 other people, all beatboxing, rapping REALLY badly, and doing Justin Timberlake dancing...Then a house party until 5... Then back to my mates house to watch movies until it got light, then sleeping, then waking up and going "meh" for the rest of the day. SO now i'm just a little wired.
Posted by
Uma, 21:45, 2nd April 2004:
Yeah, I had a vision of you staggering as you said that^ up there...
Posted by
Uma, 21:48, 2nd April 2004:
...but you sound like you had fun! I'm off to bed now. I'm old...I need my sleep
Mmmmmmmmmmm.
Music Uni is the best. Nearly everyone on the course rocks! They are such a bunch of cool people. Apart from Eel-Boy..
/runs and hides
Sweet dreams Uma! I'm guessing you're the only one around so i guess i'll be going too!

You think YOU'VE had it weird? I ended up at a house party where some germans were ballroom dancing to The Smiths.
That's a strange night out.
Posted by
Sul, 00:28, 3rd April 2004:
Not tonight. This was a while ago now.
Posted by
Sul, 00:36, 3rd April 2004:
I didnt dream it.
Posted by
Sul, 00:37, 3rd April 2004:
Honest.
I'm still surprised at eel-boy. What the heck did he go wrong?
If you know the band creed, imagine the lead singer singing this:
#He's just a lonely eel-boy,
Trying to slither his way through life,
He's got his easy-wipe pants on,
So he can do anything he likes.#
