when unable to sleep i usually start snacking.
this evening my junk food of choice is Pringles.

but sometime i wonder would other tasty treats be more conducive to sleep?
and apart from the obvious what makes you sleepy?

You could try my "hot fizzy sausage drink" as a night-time snack...

;)

A half bottle of whiskey normally sends me off. Any more just keeps me awake.

Suuuuuull! Come and post "Chronic Masturbation" as a means of getting to sleep so we can get it over and done with.

the posting, I meant!

:)

doesn't make me sleepy
Posted by moitio, 14:28, 8th May 2004:

Tried no food?? Apart from drugs, all food does is make you more energetic
Posted by moitio, 14:31, 8th May 2004:

Or if that fails, biscuits.
Posted by Hanni, 14:33, 8th May 2004:

Yes. Biscuits. I love biscuits.

i have just trotted down to the kitchen and obtained some cookie bear chocolate chip biscuits. I do not feel more sleepy but i am happier.

Hehe you've made me hungry now.
Posted by moitio, 14:47, 8th May 2004:

I just got myself some jelly (or jelo if you live in America). Try that.
Posted by Brock, 14:52, 8th May 2004:

Did you really trot? With little imaginary reins and everything? Coming to a stop by pretending to rear and whinnying like a pony?

That would be cool. Especially if there was no-one in the house and you did it un-prompted and entirely for your own amusement...

:)

Gah. My secret's out.
Posted by su, 14:54, 8th May 2004:

what flavour - i prefer lime jelly myself
Posted by moitio, 14:59, 8th May 2004:

Then get lime. Personally I like strawberry but get whatever you like best
Posted by su, 15:02, 8th May 2004:

strawberry reminds me of all that sludgy stuff in 'poltergeist'
Posted by Andy, 15:04, 8th May 2004:

I'm now really tempted to trot round the house next time everyone else is out. God damn you Brock for that image.
Posted by moitio, 15:18, 8th May 2004:

red flavoured jelly is the best flavour of jelly as the Real Rod Hull would tell you.
Posted by Brock, 16:14, 8th May 2004:

Assuming he could speak from beyond the grave, of course.
Posted by Alfie, 16:15, 8th May 2004:

So su? what exotic food did you use to put yourself to sleep
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 04:03, 9th May 2004:

Deary me. I crashed out at about quarter to eleven after drinking all afternoon and then rounding things off with a nice bottle of red wine. Now it's four in the darn morning and I've just woken up and I'm wide awake. Damn it.
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 12:57, 9th May 2004:

Well, I finally got back to sleep as the sun was rising, but then I woke up well late (just finished some coffee and croissants). Darn. Now if it wasn't for that grotesque interlude I would have a had a really good nights sleep. As it was I had to settle for reading Thomas Pynchon and pacing round the house smoking fags every now and again.
