I just helped a mate out with his PC. It was playing up while connected to the net. On his machine were 16 different porn diallers, ad-aware found 280 seperate objects, his favourites were entirely XXX related apart from the default ones and when I asked him to go to a site to test it he decided that instead of google or yahoo or hotmail, he'd go to a free galleries listing site.
On his browser was a legitimate toolbar, much like the google one. When I dropped down the recent searches box there was only one entry. And that entry was, as you've probably guessed, "porn".
The power of the web eh?

Hur hur.
My boss got a letter from his provider telling him someone had hacked his PC and was using it as a mail relay. They gave him 14 days to sort it out or they'd pull the plug on his account. Silly sod didn't install a firewall after I'd told him several times about the possible quinciquonces.
