I came into the office today to find I'd been sent a deck of "Bee" 100% plastic playing cards by a mate. They're fucking great. I'm well happy.

Little things please little minds, as they say.

Anyone else happy about something insignificant?

'Anyone else happy about something insignificant?'

The words, Brock, and small cock spring to mind.

You, young man, are starting to obsess...
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 13:10, 14th May 2004:

Good point.

I need to move on..

Young man? Thanks mate. :)

I felt I had used the word 'cunt' far too much the last couple of days.

And STOP thinking about my cock!

I am happy that I have someone to take care of me when I am sick. It is nice to be taken care of.

Posted by Brock, 13:27, 14th May 2004:

I was quite delighted to find the present my cat left me in the front room this lunchtime. He had sicked up a chick that was still half alive. His little yellow beak was moving around ffs. IT WAS F*CKING LOVELY.

It put me right off my cheese sandwich.

I didn't know what to do with it. I flushed it down the toilet in the end.

:*(
Posted by Abe Frohman, 15:26, 14th May 2004:

You flushed a cheese sandwich down the toilet?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:31, 14th May 2004:

That just put me of my choc cake! Rosie, you owe me a choc cake!! :)
Posted by WarHead, 15:31, 14th May 2004:

Class! Fancy not knowing what do do with a cheese sarny.
Posted by Rosie, 15:34, 14th May 2004:

I didn't flush my sandwich - i flushed the half munched baby bird. I should have really stamped on his head to kill it 100%, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Posted by Brock, 15:35, 14th May 2004:

Still,at least drowning it wouldn't have been a slow death...

oh. wait.
Posted by Rosie, 15:37, 14th May 2004:

I know, i know.

But what would you have done Brock?
Posted by carbonite, 15:41, 14th May 2004:

I hope you washed your hands before resuming eating the cheese sandwich.
Posted by su, 15:41, 14th May 2004:

i'm surpised it didn't float
Posted by Brock, 15:43, 14th May 2004:

In a toilet? Yeah, like nothing else you put down there does!

Hardly make a difference, would it.

I think I would have stamped on it. I'd have felt really bad, but I would have done it. Then I may even have cried a bit.

I like nanimules, me. Don't like hurting them, even if it's the only option left.
Posted by Rosie, 15:44, 14th May 2004:

Yeah, I was worried about it bobbing around in the bowl, but luckily becuase I used so much shit roll it flushed away.
Posted by carbonite, 15:45, 14th May 2004:

I cried when I shot my first crow.

It really was that funny
Posted by Rosie, 15:45, 14th May 2004:

I'm going to say a little prayer for the baby chick my cat half gobbled before I go to sleep tonight.
Posted by arsepuppy, 15:47, 14th May 2004:

"I cried when I shot my first crow.

It really was that funny"

Shh!! You'll be lynched by those obsessive Brandon Lee fans!
Posted by carbonite, 15:48, 14th May 2004:

I'm going to dream about chicks tonight.
Posted by su, 15:49, 14th May 2004:

i've had to kill 2 birds, that were cat mangled.
both times they were beyond saving, so i went for wrapping them up in paper and banging them with a shovel.
i then buried them next to my goldfish.
Posted by carbonite, 15:50, 14th May 2004:

Hang on I'm missing a moment to berate someone for their use of grammar and or logic. Aren't chicks by nature baby birds? Therefore a baby chick would be a what?
Posted by Rosie, 15:50, 14th May 2004:

Thats pretty yukky.

:(
Posted by carbonite, 15:51, 14th May 2004:

Should have cooked them well up su. I hear it's a delicacy!
Posted by Brock, 15:51, 14th May 2004:

"I'm going to dream about chicks tonight."

Every night, for me, mate. Massive tissue usage.
Posted by Rosie, 15:52, 14th May 2004:

OH, F*CK YOU carbonite - don't correct me whilst I'm in mourning, thank you very much.

(although I didn't mention my genitals, merely infered the presence of emanations of fluid from them, strictly speaking)
Posted by carbonite, 15:52, 14th May 2004:

Do you give them a good stuffing Brock?

See what I did there?
Posted by carbonite, 15:53, 14th May 2004:

When will you be finished Rosie? I don't know how much longer I can hold back this flood.
Posted by Rosie, 15:54, 14th May 2004:

I'll keep you informed.
Posted by su, 15:55, 14th May 2004:

Rosie: didn't feel like i had any other choice, cried the whole time tho
Posted by WarHead, 15:55, 14th May 2004:

Su "so i went for wrapping them up in paper and banging them with a shovel."

Was that so they couldn't look you in the eye when you did it?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:57, 14th May 2004:

Carbohydrate: "What about the shovel...what about the shovel's feelings!"

Makes a change from scooping up shit, so it might have enjoyed it. And where was the dog damn question mark?

Oh, as regards little things, I got a letter today from a good friend, and the final lines were "I might skin [my japanese lodger] and climb into her bloody shell in order to dress as a Japanese Girl. There is a down side however."

That was the end. Beautiful. It put a smile on my face as I was eating my morning tea and toast and making my morning roll-up.

Power Failure by Procol Harum always reminds me of the Oz Benefit gig in Hyde Park in about 1970. Not that they were playing; it was the Pink Fairies and Grand Funk Railroad, among others, but my mate was constantly playing Procol Harum in his flat in Powis Terrace. I sat on the windowsill and watched Frank Zappa scoring some dope.

Ah, them were't days.
Posted by Rosie, 17:04, 14th May 2004:

My ex used to like Frank Zappa. His music is kinda odd.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 17:12, 14th May 2004:

You ex as in the little ginger fella?

What is?
Posted by carbonite, 17:31, 14th May 2004:

I reckon shovels must feel quite downtrodden and undervalued. I mean we use them for shovelling crap/snow/beating small animals to death (in the case of su) and what do they get in return? Nothing. Not even a nice cleaning once in a while.
Posted by Rosie, 17:44, 14th May 2004:

Foggie: Yep. Him.

I'm off home now.

Everyone have a nice weekend

:)

Rosie, Frank's music IS kinda odd, but well worth persevering with. Some say he was a geniarse.
Posted by Rosie, 13:05, 17th May 2004:

"Baby Snakes" is my fav. It always made me laugh when I heard it.
Posted by WarHead, 13:40, 17th May 2004:

That was tghe 'B' side to 'Dancin' Fool' which I rather liked.

But I REALLY like, 'Valley Girl.'
Posted by carbonite, 16:53, 17th May 2004:

I really like valley girls.

Noone stuck a fork in my eye today.
Posted by Brock, 20:27, 17th May 2004:

It's sad, I think, that people take that sort of thing for granted these days.

Kids have no idea. Wasn't like that in my day. We knew we were lucky to get through the day without a fork/eye incident.

Good to see the old values ring true with you, son. Well done.

i found a little light on my laptop two weeks ago - it comes from above the screen, and shines on the keyboard.

i'm still impressed.

:o)

Don't joke about fork/eye! It still burns! Both literally and metaphorically!
