I'm moving bank accounts, and I've got £8.87 left to spend, and I'm going to do it online.

What should I spend my money on?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:53, 21st May 2004:

lager
Posted by Brock, 15:54, 21st May 2004:

Ace lager, though, with that much money.

presents for us
Posted by Sul, 22:49, 21st May 2004:

Red Spell in the 13.50 at Newmarket tomorrow.
Posted by Sul, 14:42, 22nd May 2004:

If you had taken my advice you would now have £97.57 in that bank account left to spend. Which imho is much better.
Posted by su, 23:25, 22nd May 2004:

yeah you could have brought us better presents
Posted by Sul, 23:53, 22nd May 2004:

I run all my luck on the fact that I can predict winners but wont bet on them... 1 race a month of my own money. I'll only bet on big odds in that respect. I wish I had bet today but that would've stepped over my boundary. I had a nice win early this month, not massive by any means but my monthly win. I covered a night's beer. Betting on horses all the time is a losing game... like fruit machines.

But I bet he didnt take my advice. *sigh*

I didn't get to read it, otherwise I would have done.

Any other tips?

Come on, Sul.

Tell me what horse to bet on, and I'll put the money on it tomorrow lunchtime (so it has to run after that (after 13:30), obv.).

Buy a weekly bus ticket on the first bus you see, then spend the week taking random journeys.
Posted by su, 12:36, 24th May 2004:

NZ in the cricket is a sure bet

Posted by Sul, 11:30, 25th May 2004:

Posted by Sul, 21:05, 25th May 2004:

Woooo Sul's on a roll with ham and pickle. :)

I bet you didn't place this bet either did you?
Posted by WarHead, 22:19, 25th May 2004:

No, he went on a bus ride.
Posted by Sul, 22:40, 25th May 2004:

£70.96 can get you a fucking car!

Can't it?
Posted by WarHead, 23:27, 25th May 2004:

Yes, from a man in a pub.
Posted by friday, 07:38, 26th May 2004:

Sul - you have that talent too? Picking horses - I can do it as well but I have to beable to see the horses and choose one like that. Never tried it with names alone.
Posted by Grim..., 08:42, 26th May 2004:

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I got it at 6/1, £62.09!

I owe you a beer, Sul!
Posted by RUSS, 09:11, 26th May 2004:

happy fucking days, good work gentlemen!
Posted by Grim..., 10:22, 26th May 2004:

In fact, I could spend all the money on beer for everyone if only Cal was in the country for an IAmCal meet.

When is he coming back?
Posted by carbonite, 13:13, 26th May 2004:

My mate won an accumulator worth £1000 when he bet on about 3 different things that had really long odds on. He put on a 5er and walked away with £955 profit. Not bad for a joke bet =D
Posted by carbonite, 13:17, 26th May 2004:

By the way with regards to the actual topic of the thread and the lager discussion thereafter, I'd buy a nice crate of Kingfisher or perhaps some Hite. Both superb beers =]
Posted by Grim..., 13:34, 26th May 2004:

Er, I've got £62 to spend now...
Posted by RUSS, 13:39, 26th May 2004:

get another tip from sulathon and lump the whole lot on!
Posted by su, 13:40, 26th May 2004:

nope

Posted by Sul, 13:57, 26th May 2004:

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable suggesting a £62 bet anyway. :/
