Googlewhack, isn't that what it is called?
Posted by
Alfie, 12:20, 28th May 2004:
as soon as we type any on this site they will stop being valid cos Cal's super code means that Google loves iamcal and tells everyone about it

Googlewhacking?
Posted by
Grim..., 12:24, 28th May 2004:
The problem with Googlewhacking is that google indexes the googlewhack site, which contains all the previous whacks.
And what Chay said, although it will take 14 days or so for Google to catch up (unless the next Googledance is in a few minutes).

Alfie, 12:25, 28th May 2004:
you'd think google would have thought of that, seeing as it promotes their site, they could make it so that google turns a blind eye to the googlewhack site.

this book by a pissy author. :D
Posted by
Grim..., 13:51, 28th May 2004:
Chay: Yeah, it's just a simple META tag.
Sul: What the fuck is that book about?
Posted by
Brock, 14:02, 28th May 2004:
Yeah. Because following the link and reading the review would
never give you a clue, would it?

Brock - did you read the review?
I did.
Posted by
Brock, 14:36, 28th May 2004:
I must be cleverer than you then. Because it gave me sufficient information to establish what the 'fuck' the book was about.
:p

Grim..., 14:42, 28th May 2004:
What is it then? Funny? Informative? I can't grasp 'why' for the life of me...
Posted by
Sul, 15:03, 28th May 2004:
Its funny and a good story. The 'why'? Well the cynical side of me figures it was so he could get a stage show and a book out of it. His excuse is that he got some money to write a novel but got hooked trying to get and meet a chain of 10 googlewhacks for a challenge laid down by his namesake in france.

29 minutes to think up that response. Not bad. You're improving.

Snappy, I thought. I won't even go into explaining about the 28 & 1/2 minute meeting I had in the interim.

I've been there, it has very comfy chairs.
I've always liked "french military victories" and click "I feel lucky".
