I was looking at su's blog earlier, and reading what she had to say about how quickly we make friends on the net. This reminded me of something I saw in the press a few months ago but forgot to make a note of.
One of the things that bothers me about net friendships is losing contact with people. I have friends on the net whose real names are not known to me, never mind their addresses. Similarly, a lot of them don't know my real name. If anything happens to me they may never know about it, only that I've disappeared.
I know there is at least one company that offers some kind of service to mail a list of people in that event. Anyone know of this?
