Anyone watch 'Seance'?

I thought it started off great (with him making people do things and then explaining why they did it) but he never explained anything else, and the show wasn't really live, which was a bit of a waste of time.

Er - Derren, not Derrin.

Damn, I was going to correct you.

He should have done more explaining. I saw a programme about seances before and they explained the moving stuff around tricks and that sort of thing.

They could have had another 15 minutes of the woman meeting all students, and Derren explaining stuff.

I said to Emma at the start that I thought he would bring out the "dead" person at the end.

I thought it was absolutely brilliant. A portrait for the madness of crowds, as it were. Admittedly, yes, it left more questions open than it answered, but it may push people to be more sceptical about things. That's what the controversy is about - people might start thinking for themselves, and then spiritualism, UFO abductions, faith healing or any of the other nonsense that the British public fool themselves in to believing... (insert my usual spiel)

Some people will believe anything, Aliens landed in New Mexico, MI5 killed that slut Diana, the CIA staged the September 11th attacks, Elvis is dead, etc etc.

I really love Elvis. I wish he hadn't gone all (pear shaped) and addicted to drugs. It makes me sad. The world just chewed him up and spat him out, poor fellow.

It's true, though, isn't it? Elvis wasn't very bright. In fact I think he was very thick.

But I like his music anyway.
