Do they broadcast the Chicago White Sox over there? It can be rather humorous at times.

i second the vote for will and grace, also known as "i'm gay i'm gay i'm gay oh isnt it SO funny that i'm gay? did i mention that i'm gay?"
Posted by Grim..., 10:21, 18th June 2004:

I thought that was Graham Norton...
Posted by jeff, 12:56, 18th June 2004:

Graham Norton, the man responsible for widespread homophobia.. .if i thought all gay men were like him then i'd be homophobic too..
Posted by arsepuppy, 12:59, 18th June 2004:

On the subject of Mr Norton, it's a shame for him (not anyone else) that his show's not on at the moment, as usually when Big Brother's on, it gives him some extra joke material to bring his overall joke tally to.....

Two.

(The other one is some random shite gag with the word 'cock' shoe-horned in)

If there ever was a horrendously negative stereotype, there's ya fella.

Back to dodgy US comedies, I have recently become hooked on that bloody 'Off Centre' :(

Help me.

(The Chinese guy's funny though)
Posted by jeff, 13:52, 18th June 2004:

what on earth is 'off centre'?
Posted by arsepuppy, 13:59, 18th June 2004:

It's that late night Channel 4 sitcom with Sean Maguire and that guy from American Pie in it. 'Two guys in a flat' scenario, etc.
Posted by Abe Frohman, 14:03, 18th June 2004:

Is there a 'Phoebe' character? or is it a shoddy 'Men behaving badly' ripoff?
Posted by Abe Frohman, 14:03, 18th June 2004:

I'm sober now BTW.
Posted by Sul, 14:10, 18th June 2004:

Dead Like Me is fucking ace! It's got a beatleguese type edge to it. I'd recommend it but then I also like Will and Grace (for Karen mostly) and the first few series of Friends were really good before they wrote a checklist for every character trait that they MUST display every episode.

My Wife and Kids - Cosby show wannabe shit.
Posted by jeff, 14:47, 18th June 2004:

there is a hefty amount of shite british comedies too lest we forget... that one with jasper carrot and the kid in the wheelchair narrating "look! we have asians and disabled people, look how they all integrate with one another and how we've filled our politically correct quota for the year in one fell swoop" - no wonder that bird from the office never openly admits to being Mr carrot's daughter...

and what about 'My Hero' - ardal o'hanlon (sp?) what *have* you done??!!!one

Yeah, and isn't about time that the BBC gave Lenny Henry and Ruby Wax a fair crack? Don't know about you but i think they could do with a chance at the big time.
