MotoGP on the telly, hangover on the head, sunday papers on the floor, sun screaming silently in a sapphire sky, vintage cider in a dimpled pint glass.

what a perfect sunday

I was meant to be working there this weekend but the agency forgot to put me down on the roster.

And we're giving the West Indies a good thumping.

"forgot"

Uhu. Nothing to do with the fact that they may have you down as an unreliable beer soak then?

got distracted by trash tv recorded on the tivo

noWAY do you watch livetv when tivo lets you boom thru ads!!

cider has restored my life. martini bianco is now removing it.

how can there be such a thing as an UNreliable beer soak

if he's a beer soak, he's reliable. it's that simple.

ok, he's not proDUCTive. but he IS reliably beer sodden.

that's reliable.

Slightly related: Good God the Grand Prix was boring this week.

Martin: Hey! Jenson's got something wrong with his helmet!

Cue them talking about little else for the last thirty minutes of the race.

Mind you, I'd be distracted if my helmet was uncomfortable while I was trying to drive...

hur hur hur

Apparently his chinstrap was loose and his helmet was lifting up and strangling him down the straights. He just needed to drive with the wheel wedged between his knees while he fixed it.
I don't think the GP was that bad, providing you ignored Mikey. The race for second was alright (although still not a classic).

F1 helmets have chinstraps?

F1 is just so fucking boring now, and it's got nothing to do with Schumacher - he's just too fucking good for the rest of them.

If only they overtook each other once in a while, rather than the occasional 'one car has gone past another and is now vanishing into the distance' =/

Have you got a fast car?

was as confused as fuck until i realised you were talking about formula one not motogp

f1 is as dull as ditchwater; i gave up on it about the 3rd race i ever saw. too hard to pass, so it's all won or lost in the pits. woo hoo. they might as well just organise tyre changing competitions and save themselves a lot of money.

the *bikes* on the other hand, are brilliant to watch.

having said that, donington was fairly dull. altho wotsisfeatures passing biaggi around the outside in the old hairpin was lovely to watch

and the brolly girls were the best looking i've seen in ages. normally england rolls out the trolls and italy the goddesses; this year it was the other way round.

Fricking Mundano - I was trying to overtake a lorry this morning, came out of the corner, clear road, foot down - no power.
Down into third, foot it again - nothing.
Second, engine (noisily) winds up to 5000R/pm and finally the thing starts to pull.
Once past the lorry I realise I'd been screaming "POWER POWER POWER!" at it =/

If I'd have dropped the Mitsi into second and footed it, I'd have ended up sideways under the truck.
I loved my Mitsubishi =[
