I'm lost and can't find my way home...

...no, really... i found an internet cafe but I can't find my way back... stupid long bike ride idea :(
Posted by Grim..., 14:50, 26th July 2004:

Er... Multimap?
Posted by Sul, 14:50, 26th July 2004:

Shit! You could be ANYWHERE! What's the local dialect?
Posted by Sul, 14:52, 26th July 2004:

You've gotta be careful when you go out sometimes. Especially in the rural areas of the world. You can get lost very easily when you go out with no particular place to go.
Posted by chris, 14:52, 26th July 2004:

Oiiirish apparently...

and yeah i logged straight into multimap, but i have no idea where i actually am and this place doesnt have a postcode and... and... gotta breathe...
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 14:52, 26th July 2004:

Turn left, go straight until the lights and then head right. First round about, take the second exit, next round about, take the first exit...and carry on past McD's. There you go.
Posted by jeff, 14:56, 26th July 2004:

cant you ask the cafe owner where you are? or better still google the cafe's name and find out the postcode that way? (or call a taxi!)
Posted by chris, 14:58, 26th July 2004:

there are no postcodes in ireland... DAMN FOOLS!! how do the letters still get here?

i think i know where i am now, but foggy - i wouldnt go near a McD's, nor have i seen a roundabout in this country!
Posted by chris, 14:58, 26th July 2004:

(they're the damn fools... not you guys n gals)
Posted by Sul, 15:01, 26th July 2004:

Ok. Here's the deal. This is what I want you to do. Pick a road and stay on it. Eventually you'll be in Rome. Take a flight from there back to Ireland. Get a cab from outside of the Airport all the way home. And never try it again.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:01, 26th July 2004:

no roundabouts? Must be a lot of traffic lights then!
Posted by chris, 15:06, 26th July 2004:

lots of traffic lights, that when they go from red to green - dont go to amber... i nearly got run over so many times now.

i think it's a real ploy to kill the english.

sul, i wont again i promise

...where's Rome? ;)
Posted by Victor Menendez, 15:06, 26th July 2004:

Jeff's right, you need to call Joe le taxi.
Posted by Sul, 15:07, 26th July 2004:

Italy. All roads lead to Rome, apparently.
Posted by chris, 15:07, 26th July 2004:

oh well, when in Rome...
Posted by chris, 15:08, 26th July 2004:

what if joe doesn't like being called a taxi?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:08, 26th July 2004:

rather a taxi than a bike.
Posted by chris, 15:10, 26th July 2004:

leave my bike out of this, bitch
leave my bitch out of this, bike!
Posted by chris, 15:13, 26th July 2004:

(i've been alone in this country too long)
Posted by Sul, 15:13, 26th July 2004:

You big kid. Adults get Taxis. Be a man. "But Sul, I want to ride my bicycle, wah wah, I want to ride my bike. It keeps me healthy, wah wah". Shut up, stop whining and phone a fucking taxi. How are we going to be able to attend gigs on bikes? Peddling with a groupy sucking you off has got to be very difficult.
Posted by chris, 15:15, 26th July 2004:

that's why she'd be peddling... duh!

you think i'll pedal my own bike when our band gets huge?
Posted by Sul, 15:19, 26th July 2004:

Yeah but you wouldnt have to drive a taxi now, even though our band is only mildly huge.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 15:19, 26th July 2004:

Careful Chris, Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.
Posted by chris, 15:20, 26th July 2004:

that's because at the moment we have cult underground status

i'm off to get some guitar bits today :)
Posted by chris, 15:21, 26th July 2004:

it's not the wheels... it's the screaming of the brakes...
Posted by Sul, 15:21, 26th July 2004:

I'm not getting the underground if we can get a fucking taxi!
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 15:23, 26th July 2004:

Joe should be able to help with the taxi.
Posted by chris, 15:23, 26th July 2004:

Sul, for the last time, kaufman does not work on the london cabs.
Posted by Sul, 15:30, 26th July 2004:

I just hate the underground. Its one of the sacriest places on earth late at night. Especially for a drunk like me. A few years ago I saw a guy nearly get killed. I was down in the tube station. At midnight or so this pisshead city type falls onto the tracks. Me and a coupld of other other people had to try to help him back up onto the platform before he got squished. Luckily he was ok though but It's scared me shitless ever since. So its taxis if I can.
Posted by chris, 15:45, 26th July 2004:

I've got a bit of a phobia of the tube, as cal can testify to.

Infact, i remember onetime being on it in rush hour on a school trip and having a total panic attack.
Posted by Sul, 15:59, 26th July 2004:

The tube being London underground or the telly?
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 16:02, 26th July 2004:

Paula Yates - eek!!
Posted by jen, 16:02, 26th July 2004:

...Lighten up while you still can, don't even try to understand,
just find a place to make your (BIKE) stand and take it easy..
Posted by Victor Menendez, 16:05, 26th July 2004:

Yeah, straighten up and fly right.
Posted by Jason, 20:53, 26th July 2004:

The suspense in killing me.
Posted by Victor Menendez, 22:36, 26th July 2004:

The suspense in killing you is what?
Posted by Brock, 22:37, 26th July 2004:

The long drop?
Posted by Saltation, 11:28, 27th July 2004:

did chris get home or is he stuck in that net cafe for life?
Posted by Victor Menendez, 11:42, 27th July 2004:

He's breaking rocks in the hot sun.
Posted by Foghorn Leghorn, 11:56, 27th July 2004:

I am, I'll be walking warily down the street with my brim pulled way down low.
Posted by ilovebeerme, 12:21, 27th July 2004:

Take her some cheese. Girls love cheese.
Posted by su, 12:32, 27th July 2004:

don't take her carnations
Posted by Victor Menendez, 12:35, 27th July 2004:

Would she only crush the tender petals?
Posted by su, 12:42, 27th July 2004:

she might walk away
Posted by ilovebeerme, 13:14, 27th July 2004:

I disagree, nothing says 'Garage Forecourt Afterthought' like carnations. Girls love garages, petrol and afterthoughts so she'd be well chuffed.
Posted by Brock, 13:20, 27th July 2004:

Half hearted, last minute and cheap gestures are definitely the way to a girls heart, trust me on that one, Vic.
Posted by su, 13:33, 27th July 2004:

i'm not going to put my finger on the reason why you are single
Posted by jeff, 13:40, 27th July 2004:

i'd wash your hand afterwards su.
Posted by Grim..., 13:47, 27th July 2004:

Hehehe =]
Posted by ilovebeerme, 15:14, 27th July 2004:

Best not to put your finger on it, the pus is corrosive.
Posted by chris, 14:27, 28th July 2004:

yes yes, i got home, however i liked being lost so much i came to the same place again!

unfortunatly now i know my way home, it's not so exciting :(
Posted by su, 14:46, 28th July 2004:

suggestion - blindfold yourself and your bike
give a taxi driver 100 pounds to drive you both anywhere
then you can enjoy being lost again
Posted by Saltation, 14:48, 28th July 2004:

not sure your grip on the concept of "lost" is as good as it should be
Posted by Saltation, 16:40, 28th July 2004:

whoops: that was to chris, not su
