I told you a while ago about our company stuntman, he was telling me earlier that he has been keeping his hand in, his latest work was on 'Last of the Summer Wine', where he dressed up as Compo (or whoever the fuck it is these days) and fell out of a tree.
how hard can it be to have a dead man fall out of a tree?
need a stuntman for that? i think not. i reckon it was just the show's producer bigging himself up

Perhaps he's now doing stunts for Compo's son, who is actually played by Bill Owen's real-life son. What are the chances of that happening?
the chances of Bill Owen having children? vanishingly small, i would have thought. i'm impressed he managed it. it's been a few years now, i guess: has the mother sobered up yet?

That'll never happen. Why would they give him a new show where he plays a coroner with his son being played by his son when he already has a really similar show where he plays a surgeon at Community General Hospital who's been in medicine over 40 years and now is the Chief of Internal Medicine. Not only that, but he is a teaching doctor and teaches the interns, who's son is played by his son.

too busy to recount the entire song in this manner. i'm such a killjoy
Bert:
Ain't it a glorious day?
Right as a mornin' in May
I feel like I could fly
'Ave you ever seen the grass so green?
Or a bluer sky?
Oh, it's a jolly 'oliday with Mary
Mary makes your 'eart so light!
When the day is gray and ordinary
Mary makes the sun shine bright!
Oh, 'appiness is bloomin' all around 'er
The daffodils are smilin' at the dove
When Mary 'olds your 'and you feel so grand
Your 'eart starts beatin' like a big brass band
It's a jolly 'oliday with Mary
No wonder that it's Mary that we love!
Chorus
Oh, it's a jolly 'oliday with Mary
Mary makes your 'eart so light!
When the day is gray and ordinary
Mary makes the sun shine bright!
Oh, 'appiness is bloomin' all around 'er
The daffodils are smilin' at the dove
When Mary 'olds your 'and you feel so grand
Your 'eart starts beatin' like a big brass band
It's a jolly 'oliday with Mary
No wonder that it's Mary that we love!
[Interlude]
Mary Poppins:
Now then what'd be nice
We'll start with raspberry ice
And then some cakes and tea
Order what you will
There'll be no bill
It's complimentary
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with you, Bert
Gentlemen like you are few
Though your just a diamond in the rough, Bert
Underneath your blood is blue!
You'd never think of pressing your advantage
Forbearance is the hallmark of your creed
A lady needn't fear when you are near
Your sweet gentility is crystal clear!
Oh, it's a jolly holiday with you, Bert
A jolly, jolly holiday with you!
Bert and Chorus:
It's true that Mavis and Sybil 'ave ways that are winning
And Prudence and Gwendolyn set your 'eart spinning
Phoebe's delightful, Maude is disarming
Janice, Felicia, Lydia - charming
Cynthia's dashing, Vivian's sweet
Stephanie's smashing, Priscilla a treat
Veronica, Millicent, Agnes, and Jane
Convival company, time and again
Drocas and Phyllis and Glynis are sorts
I'll agree are three jolly good sports
But cream of the crop, tip of the top
It's Mary Poppins, and there we stop!
