Doc'll know what I mean...

I saw. Is he gonna lead libby off her "Women's Libby" path?
Posted by jeff, 18:46, 6th August 2004:

i'm guessing he's reappeared in neighbours then? isnt he the one that went out with debbie?
Posted by lau, 19:39, 6th August 2004:

I miss Neighbours so much. I watched it every day from when I was like 1 to 16. Then I got a job and I don't get home til 7 so miss it completely. :(

He went out with Libby! And we went to prison! OMG! And he was just there on their doorstep!

"I know you like older men, Steph, but come on!"
Posted by lau, 16:17, 7th August 2004:

Where does Steph come in to it? I've missed like the last year of it. I don't even know who half the characters are. I should tape it or something. But I can't get my vcr to work.
Posted by Uncle Moc, 16:24, 7th August 2004:

Libby was hiding from the electrician because he is a dirty pervy old man, so she got Steph (who loves elderly men) to go open the door, and Steph says how he is a bit of a spunk, and Libby cusses her for being an old man magnet, and then Libby actually has to speak to the electrician, and it turns out to be Darren Stark!
Posted by lau, 18:13, 7th August 2004:

Damn. Must learn how to work the vcr. Also connecting it to the tv might help. Suppose I should figure out how to get the tv to work as well.

What's the "Women's Libby" thingy about?
Posted by Saltation, 19:20, 7th August 2004:

lau: get a tivo
Posted by lau, 19:26, 7th August 2004:

What the hell is one of them when it's at home? Also, there's a slight issue of money. In that I have none.
Posted by Saltation, 03:49, 8th August 2004:

sell your none, buy money
Posted by lau, 15:27, 8th August 2004:

It took me so long to get that. I still don't know what a tivo is though.
Posted by Doctor Lucid, 19:06, 8th August 2004:

"Women's Libby" is Libby Kennedy's new column in Erinsborough News.
Posted by Saltation, 15:45, 9th August 2004:

lau: tivo is the dog's bollocks.
generally: it's a machine that becomes your tv interface: record programs weeks in the future just by selecting them off a menu/list, book all programs in a series, pause live tv, that sort of thing.

you just insert it between your cable/antenna/whatever and your tv, then just use the tv via the tivo's remotecontrol.
and its interface is brilliantly brilliantly designed. blindingly obvious as soon as you switch it on.

technically: it's a linux box with custom software, so you upgrade its capacity. i have an old one which i stuck a 120gb disk in so can now record up to ~140 hours of tv.

what this means is you watch what you want whenever the hell you want. put off watching a show for a month: it'll still be there when you have time/interest. you can zoom past the ads. you tend to watch better quality shows because you'll not be sitting there scrolling thru channels watching whatever. you wind up watching a lot less tv, interestingly, but enjoying it a lot more.

Now what does that have to do with Neighbours? My god, I love the Father Tom storylines.
Posted by Saltation, 17:53, 9th August 2004:

ahhhh, see, with tivo you could record EVERY SINGLE NEIGHBOURS EPISODE EVER
Posted by Alfie, 23:41, 9th August 2004:

No you couldn't. Or if you could you'd need a bloody massive drive in it.
Posted by Foppy, 00:15, 10th August 2004:

Damn. And I thought Darren stark had changed his surname to Omg, making Stark his middle name.
Posted by Uncle Moc, 13:11, 10th August 2004:

Did you know that if you wanted to watch every single episode of Neighbours ever, and you devoted 18 hours a day to Neighbours, leaving 6 for sleep, it would take you about 74 days to get to the current happenings?
Posted by Brock, 13:24, 10th August 2004:

Bollocks, Doc. You don't need to see everty episode. You are failing to take into account the well known fact that you never miss anything on Neighbours. Because nothing ever actually happens.

If you watched the first 3 episodes (to introduce yourself to the cast) and then watched every 20th episode, you'd be fully up to speed by the weekend.

Cos it's SHIT!!!

/me runs and hides

but but
it has Blair from Big brother Australia in it
that's like so quality acting
Posted by Uncle Moc, 18:08, 10th August 2004:

Haha! Stu, you mean!

That's rubbish, Brock! On the 9th July 2002, I missed both Lunchtime and Evening neighbours, and missed Steph and Flick having a massive fight in the street because MarK Lambert had ditched Steph at the alter to go G.I.O. with her sister!

Possibly the greatest regret of my life. Certainly in the top 10.

Sky Mangel in lesbian shock!
Posted by Uncle Moc, 11:28, 11th August 2004:

Yeah, that should be a funny storyline. At the moment she just mopes around with Boyd not doing anything. They're almost as dull as Michelle and Connor were.
Posted by Grim..., 12:13, 11th August 2004:

Doc: You've just proved Brock's point.
You missed the episode, but myou still know what happened.

Is Harold currently alive or dead ... or alive again?
Posted by Lucy Record, 12:28, 11th August 2004:

Grim..., only because all my friends saw it and told me that it was possibly the greatest episode of 2002! And plus of course I read the summary on erinsborough.com. But it's not quite the same as actually witnessing the Scully sibling-rivalry fight!

Harold is alive. He got swept out to sea about 15 years ago, but then returned 8 years later, having been rescued in Tasmania with no memory.
Posted by WarHead, 12:31, 11th August 2004:

I bet his skin was all wrinkly as well.
Posted by Sul, 17:51, 12th August 2004:

Who's hotter: Libby or Steph?
Posted by Lucy Record, 18:15, 12th August 2004:

Hmmm. Drew Kirk actually had that dilemma, with both of them offering themselves to him. And he chose Libby. But then he fell off a horse and died. I think I'd have said Steph a while ago. But Libby's new hair is cool. So Libby at the moment. Although she's being a bit mean to The Doc at the moment.

And the last two episodes have had names!

"Spilling Secrets", and "publish and be damned"

What the dickens is that about?
Posted by lau, 18:20, 12th August 2004:

Steph. But I've only seen Libby in an episode within the last couple of months. So not quite sure if that still stands. Really must work the vcr damnit!
Posted by Saltation, 20:19, 12th August 2004:

work it baby

>fell off a horse and died

as you do
Posted by Sul, 20:22, 12th August 2004:

Steph used to be hotter than Flick IMO but now Libby is shooting her down with her "I've got attitude and a kid, Dad and you can fuck off! I've got the press behind me! Harold barely listens to you nowadays you fucker!".
Posted by Saltation, 20:40, 12th August 2004:

Libby and Steph can not compare with these available BABES!!!

Much better return the other day was that of Cassie. Heck yeah! She's been an off-screen character since Drew and Libby's wedding.
