Some people think that ASP is better than perl for an interactive website. Anyone agree?

Whoa I just looked at some sample php pages and the code looks a lot like perl! I like perl and I want to program in asp becuase you can embed code in the html file, but php looks like the best of both worlds! Anyone want to fill me in?

About one year ago last month. :)It was the first "real" scripting language I picked up...and its still pretty much the only one... (besides a little Perl and ASP)There's no doubt in my mind its better than PHP, but when it comes to Perl, I guess each one has its advantages.

I am an ASP programmer. Therefore, I can form an opinion.ASP is not all that great. If you want to set up a site that server-side scripting, PHP is the one to use.
