Total volume of music on my computer?
tricky, as my music is spread over my work mac and pc, and my home pc and elina's macs. In our main music pile are 8370 tracks, totaling 33.34 GB and would take 23 days to listen to.
The last CD I bought?
i think it was the bright eyes album
i'm wide awake, it's morning, brought after tom sent me a couple of excellent tracks from it (first day of my life and lua) which i gather he found on metacritic. before that it was nick drake, because you can never have enough nick drake. and i had none.
Song playing right now?
technically none, because the network just freaked out and disconnected itunes music sharing. before that i was listening to nirvana's live acoustic version of "oh me" from the mtv cd - i had gotten it in my head somehow and needed to have a listen.

I have 45 tracks which makes up about 177 million bytes. All legit. I was just trying out some ripping software. It is pretty much my entire collection. I might have had more, but you know how things go in life.

I think I have about 15 gigabites. Although this baton prodding might just be a chance for those wacky Metallica lawyers to get us to say things which may be used as evidence against us in a court of law.
The last CD I bought?
I can't afford CDs. But I had to get the Neighbours soundtrack album because you can't find it on the internet and I wanted songs such as "one good reason" that I could play in the background during dramatic moments in my life. And I get The Crimea's new album because it's almost Davey Crockett.
Song playing right now?
Ro-ro is listening to an Adam Green album in the next room. He's gone downhill a bit since his eponymous first album.

If my current consumer guarantees act battle with the computer company is resolved then I'll have my computer back and it will tell me that I have about 4000 songs, maybe 12 days, 20 odd gigs?

The last cd was a Flying Nun Compilation called Speed of Sound. However, I went and browsed the second hand records section at Real Groovy and picked up a whole bunch of LPs for under $3 each: Elvis Costello, The Velvet Underground, Michael Jackson - Bad (!!!!), The Bats and a whole bunch of other NZ music that none of you will know.

P.S. Warhead - Great choice with Pat Metheny, although I hate his crappy synth guitar sound. But then that's just personal taste. My housmate has the DVD, have you seen it?
No, but he looks like a total twat with that hair "style" (Pat, not your housemate, er, I haven't seen your housemate, so he/she/it may also have a crap hairstyle) ... anyway, where was I? Oh yes, PMB .... sometimes he's great and sometimes he really seems to lose the plot, but I suppose he can afford to.
My housemate DOES have an ammusing hairstyle, if I could be arsed I would show put a picture up here, but I can't.
Also, Pat Metheny's keyboard player looks like that flying-hairy-dragon-thing from the Neverending Story.
I think it's some kind of rule that jazzers just look odd.

Total volume of music on my computer?
837.12MB (that's 20 hours 55 minutes 3 seconds). I had several GB's a while back until I formatted my hard disk and forgot to back it all up. Oops. Thankfully, all that is ripped from CDs that I own, and can be re-ripped when the mood takes me.
