Is 'Poirot' some sort of joyous exclamation, Brock? Or should there (arguably) have been a comma in there?
Either way, Happy Birthday, Alfie. Will you be partaking of the falling down water in the Barleycorn or The Railway, or whatever that big pub opposite The Railway that used to be The Midland is now called?
Ah, no. Went out for a meal at Croma (lovely Italian place just off Picadilly) with Emma and some friends from work. Lovely time had by all.
I take it "Well done. Poirot" is an alternative to "No Shit, Sherlock"?

Yup. With added scorn because of the Belgian reference.

Vic, what tune was your song to be sung to? Was it that shitty song by Stevie Wonder?

No, no, no ... "I Just Called To Say, er, Happy Birthday To You..."
Haaaaappy Birthday to ya

Yes, it was that 'shitty song by Stevie Wonder'
It's the 'ooh yeah' that makes it art.
