We actually heard these shots being fired, while driving home. This place is getting really scary.

Meh, we have murders too.

And some of them are tragic.

However, it's not all bad news.

But this is the key issue from the 'Bad News' story, "Cheshire Police said the brussel sprouts, stolen on Tuesday, could be dangerous if consumed in large quantities ...."

Hands up anyone who couldn't have worked that one out for themselves.

i don't want to put my hand up anyone that stupid
Posted by Brock, around 29th September 2005:

Yeah. The chances of them understanding the concept of dilligent wiping is remote, to say the least.

I like the Brussel Sprout one! Ha! ha! Who would want a whole truckload of those...Yeuch! Actually I do like them, as long as they are smothered in melted butter.

Those London bombings were just awful, though, hey - I was worried about you lot (those that live in London); do you find there is a lot of suspicion of Asian/Arab people now? I seem to remember readin that they found some Al-Quaeda operative in Manchester or somewhere in the North, can you remember?

:shrugs:

We deserved it, and they didn't exactly bomb us effeciently.
Posted by WarHead, around 30th September 2005:

Which 'we' would that be? You may deserve it, for some reason that I'm not aware of, but I don't believe I deserve it.

No! The English public does NOT deserve to pay for their governments mistakes! No! No! No! Don't get me on my soapbox...

according to yesterday's newspapers, Osama Bin Laden applied to the UK for asylum in 1995
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 30th September 2005:

I'll bet you he's in SA

www.timesonline.co.uk/artic...

it's always inspiring to see a man with the courage to live life according to his convictions, to be True to his Self without being a loathsome parasite on other peoples' efforts and openness.

Very interesting article...imagine that, seeking asylum from your 'enemies'...

Bugger. We missed an opportunity there. If we'd let him in we could have sorted out this Islamic Fundamentalist stuff over a cup of tea and a fairy cake. Or some toast.
Posted by syl_DUPE1, around 30th September 2005:

You naughty thing...

are fairy cakes halaal?
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 30th September 2005:

"Tea? Chocolate digestive? There you are.
Now, look, Laden old boy, this Islamic Fundamentalist business. Really, it's... it's just not on. Hmm?
Quite, quite. So glad you understand. Stout fella! You're a white man, by George."

Eggsactly .... oooops, wrong thread.

And I think you should have said "it's not Cricket" rather than just "not on" but you might still get away with it.

Then you could have bussed him off to Highbury so the lads could give him a good kickin.'

understatement, dear boy, understatement.
