Gents, geeks, and genti-geeks (and also Lady-geeks)
I have bought a laptop. It hath not wireless in-built (second hand) but is more than capable of handling it. I therefore need one of those little wireless cards.
Any preference? It is a Sony Vaio, and about 18 months to two years old, if that matters. Is there a make I should go for? Is the sleekest, least hanging out-style fella the way to go, or definitely not?
Help, innit.

I've limited knowledge but the way I see it you've got a few options:
USB - Probably best not bother, it will be ugly, take up a port and be awkward.
PCMCIA - They can be ugly and awkward but will most likely offer greatest range for you and compatibility.
Mini-PCI - All hidden away and lovely. I'd go for this if your laptop's got a mini-PCI slot. Check compatability, you'll want to make sure you can turn it off to save on power. My card sucks it hard!
But 2 Years and no in-built wireless? I'm sure Vaio's were shipping with wireless back then. Every other fucker was.
