Although it does look it has been post potatoshopped, but I have no idea what effect on a real image being taken through a big bit of glass/porthole-thingy woul dhave on it anyway. If it isn't real, I am Bloody impressed. I spent ages (rather than chasing the URL through FLickr and trying to find the original like I imagine Alfie did) trying to find fault with the sunlight and the reflections/shadows.
Pretty impressive anyway. But I'll go with real.

I spent ages checking the sunlight too. And the URL chasing wasn't an easy task. as the filename refused to be googled. so I had to check my "I Spy Book of Spaceships" to track the damned thing down.

i would love to say that actually it was weasels, but they keep blowing up on the launchpad.
it was in fact a completely real shot with no munging whatsoever.
interestingly, at first glance i would have voted for an in-game scene, based on the oddly undetailed nosecone and the fairly standard light-fog blurrings elsewhere. the detail of the light made me wonder though.
kinda a tribute to how far the games have come though, i thought.
I searched on google for sateylights, then realised it was docking to a space station. Then typed in "international space station" and then looked for the right module on a diagram. Then typed that into google images.
