I demand a 'users online in the last hour' box.
Posted by Victor Menendezz, around 23rd November 2005:

And this sucks too:

this is the user page for Victor Menendez

Sort it out, Cal.

BTW Sul, My ipod is on random shuffle atm and it just turned up with 'Calling all the Heroes'
Posted by Brock, around 23rd November 2005:

Yeah.

Also, I want a "bitch slap that twat Menendez with a fist that comes out of his monitor" button, Cal.

Sort. It. The. Fuck. Out.

Any talk of 'not physically possible' will merely reinforce my opinion that you don't really work with computers and actually go to a special school.

Hey Brock, at what point do you stop washing your face?
Posted by Brock, around 23rd November 2005:

Also, the topic list down the left hand side that we used to have made it much easier to tell where the conversations were happening, as it used to refresh after you posted and any thread that moved was much more obvious.

It's fine for coming back later, but if multiple user posting is actually occuring like it just did then, it makes it really hard to work out which threads have changed just from flicking back to the discuss page and trying to work out how long you have been looking. I find the only way to do itis to have all the active thread pages open.

That wouldn't help stealth posting, I imagine...

Er. I stop washing my face.....

er...

When it hurts?
Posted by Victor Menendezz, around 23rd November 2005:

No, I mean 2 inches above your eyebrows? 4 inches? you must have some artificial 'border' where you stop.

Ha, ha, haaaaaaaaaa.

It is a good song, but the gag was too goo... erm... difficult to resist.

I did wonder if I was walking straight into something with that face question. I can't think of a suitably scathing answer at the moment, and that is making me very sad.

:(

See?

"High on a mountain the men looked below
Cooked up a plan that would outwit their foe
They scrambled down the mountain shooting reclaimed all the bandits looted"

I really hope the Heroes didnt take too long to "cook" up that plan. It might have worked but it's bloody awful.
Posted by WarHead, around 23rd November 2005:

And it wasn't the heroes that were shooting up the town, it was the bandits.

We left you in pastures rarely seen holding out the fortress for a while
Everyone knew why the calm had been, keeping friends among you saves a fight
In the dead of the night there was movement and shadows
Attacking the women and taking the gold
The men were away and no one could hear them
They still cry today when the story is told
High on a mountain out searching for gold
Men have had warning of scriptures fortold
Turn around and fight for freedom you can hear the people screaming
Calling all the heroes, they're shooting up the town boys

The men returned to find their home destroyed, people rushing round with scars of war
Babies crying the aged wounded mourned, calling out for someone to hear their prayers
Five miles away were the theives and the bandits
Laughing and joking sickly and crude
They didn't know that the men had come back home
they didn't know they were being persued

High on a mountain the men looked below
Cooked up a plan that would outwit their foe
They scrambled down the mountain shooting reclaimed all the bandits looted
Calling all the heroes, they're shooting up the town boys."

Shit lyrics, really. Makes Jon Anderson look like the Poet Laureate.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure the 'they're' is silent. Hang on, let me listen again.
Posted by WarHead, around 23rd November 2005:

OK

/me waits.

But if memory serves you can just about hear it.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 23rd November 2005:

It's there.

I mean the they're is there.

That still doesnt look right.

I dont mean the that its there as opposed to they're rather that the they're is audible.
Posted by WarHead, around 23rd November 2005:

Just answer this question.

Can you hear it or not (Y)es/(N)o?

Good.

Now then, do those kids in the Zofira ad say, 'Oh, they're tired,' or 'Ooooover tired?'
Posted by Victor Menendezz, around 23rd November 2005:

You can here it sometimes, but not on all of the verses, leading me to conclude that both the heroes and the villains are shooting up the town. Boys.
Posted by Victor Menendezz, around 23rd November 2005:

And sometimes burning up the town. As opposed to the more common burning down of said town.
Posted by Brock, around 23rd November 2005:

Yeah, but shooting up the town could just mean that (they) have to nip to the shops, innit.

Not al that scary, and certainly no need to rush back from the gold mine for, is it?
Posted by Victor Menendezz, around 23rd November 2005:

Ah, thats a good point. Not really requiring heroics though is it?

Unless you're shooting up the town shops in Stockwell.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around 23rd November 2005:

If only people had more understanding. That whole Columbine mess could've been avoided.

Eric: "Mum, is it ok if I shoot up the school with Dylan?"
Eric's mum: "Sure thing honey, have fun."

lol where u get those quotes from?

And sometimes burning up the town.

And that simply means they driving around town in their chav'd up Astra. No real harm in that.

I could never quite make me mind up about It Bites. They were neither one thing, nor another. Sometimes they seemed to be treading the prog rock trail and at others they were quite poppy.

red and flat and increasingly artificial?
