question is, would you be a person who tried to create the spider or destroy it?

That's bloody interesting stuff.

re the spider: I think as soon as a guide to the legs appear it'll take form. In my head I'd think a top down view would be easiest but I suppose others may be thinking of a face on. Either way, looking at the animation it doesn't appear to have ever got close to resembling a spider.

Perhaps its just too complex an image to get everyone to have a similar mental picture.

Ooooh, good point. I coudln't see which way it was going either. I had assumed a plan view, but I guess others hadn't.

That concert hall that Salti linked to would have been awesome to see. Can you imagine what it must have felt like being the bloke controlling what the crowd did? Awesome.

compare with the wineglass, it came close to actualisation about 3 times within 2000 pixel choices.

Im so naive, I was completely surprised that some people make the pictures worse instead of better ...
Posted by ellipse, 28th November 2005:

i wonder what those people would be like

Oh was it was girly subtext? That has a tendancy to *whooosh* me.

Carry on.

your nastiness was amusing in the other thread, could you please stay there ?
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, 28th November 2005:

But I wasn't being nasty in the other thread :'(

I get blamed for everything!

"your nastiness was amusing in the other thread, could you please stay there ?"

Not if I don't particularly feel like it, no. Do you all feel good ganging up? Makes ya feel gooooooood, hey?
Posted by Brock, 28th November 2005:

S'ok, Sul. I still love you.

*&%^&^%^%&%&^%^&(%^%$

(what? Syl can do it...)
Posted by syl_DUPE1, 28th November 2005:

Um, can you not READ!!!!!??????? That was SUL not me.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, 28th November 2005:

I don't think Miki was sticking the boot in but trying to be tidy, that's all.

Miki is physically incapable of being nasty. She is Dutch.

Anyway. Back to the interesting topic. I might try to give the spider some definition in bit and see how it takes off. Might throw some light on whether its a dedicated group of fucks screwing it up or the fact that people lack a similar mental image to work from.

I would definitely never make YOU cry sul, how can I make it up to you
(the assassination thing is going nowhere, have you any idea how many people have ordered assassinations ? and not a mention of where they found the website to order it)
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, 28th November 2005:

(Oh it's not an assination thing. It's a service where rich people can pay to go and shoot someone in the head... for the experience)
Posted by Miki_DUPE1, 28th November 2005:

aaaaaaah I thought you got a voucher to have someone shot in the head

Posted by Brock, 28th November 2005:

Well, at least you've made that clear, Sul. For a second there, I thought that it was something really sick and despicable...

i wonder what those people would be like

Mischievous little imps? Chavs? Drunks? Script kiddies? IT Managers who haven't got a clue what's going on?

Hmmm. On the hive-pilot experiment - I wonder if you done that IRL whether there would be a prick trying to crash the plane.
