When I set out this morning I realised that it was a bit slippy underfoot, so as I leave for work before my wife I sent her a text saying, 'It's a bit icy so take care.'

However, my reading glasses were in my bag so I couldn't see exactly what I was sending, which turned out to be, 'It's a bit gay so take case.'

Predictive text is just wrong, I find it so much easier to type without it with my hands behind my back and my eyes closed typing with my big toe

That's because nothing can predict what you are typing, BG =]

I find it much easier and faster. In much the same way that you have to know that C is got by tapping 2,2,2 in the old days, you have to know that 'gone' is 4,6,6,3,*,* (ie third option of 4,6,6,3).

It's pretty easy once you get used to it, and no more complicated than the old way and definitely less key presses once you have made it learn all the profanity and long words it needs.

Old people and stupid people will always struggle with technology - FACT.

I have no particular reason to mention that now, it just popped into my head randomly...

I don't use predictive text but despise it more because other people that use it send before checking. Spelling mistakes are on a whole new level with predictive text. Oh and noone wants to spend another 10p correcting themselves. No, they just think you'll work it out in the end.

I have had predictive texts that I never worked out, I have had none predictive texts that I have sent which I have not worked out.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Brock (you, you, you .... watersports enthusiast!!11)

Actually, I quite like PT and find it much easier and faster to use now I've taken the time to master it. It was just that writing on the hoof, not having my glasses on and being in a hurry, plus trying not to skate along the pavement caused this morning's error.

It made Mrs WH laugh anyway, which is no bad thing.

Some of the alternatives that come up make me laugh. For instance, before you put the last letter in of 'tongue' it suggets 'vomit'.

Always makes me laugh, as I usually use 'tongue' in filthy text messages and the idea of getting it wrong always amuses me...

'shot' comes up when you try and put in 'pint', too. What are the chances?
