unbelievably, someone has worked out that you can spoof biometric security too. golly, who would have thought that was even POSSIBLE??

A Malaysian businessman has lost a finger to car thieves impatient to get around his Mercedes' fingerprint security system. Accountant K Kumaran, the BBC reports, had at first been forced to start the S-class Merc, but when the carjackers wanted to start it again without having him along, they chopped off the end of his index finger with a machete.

Ha.
The company I used to work for use subdermal biometric security on their products, and as soon as the 'finger' dies, it would stop working.

Merc are amatures.

I saw this documentary once where this woman, acting as a bellydancer, made fake fingerprints from a print lifted off a beer bottle in a club. She then used this and some retina information scanned by her colleagues to gain access to some very important information inside a highly secure building.

Shocking.

I saw that, Sul!

And the woman with the best tits distracted a car driver while her friends broke into his boot.

Dispicable stuff.

Yeah, and it's how Armand Assante escaped jail and wreaked his revenge on Judge Dredd.

Salt:
Tensor's range of sub-dermal fingerprint scanners use a new technology that reads below the user's surface layer of skin down to the live sub-dermal layer where an individual's true biometric identity resides.
