ok, we already know that but here's another great example just now on boingboing:
The French Democracy is a political film about France's riots, made in machinima (a filmmaking technique that uses video-games as animation engines) with the new video game The Movies -- a game whose objective is to make machinima films.

The French Democracy is a little rough around the edges, unashamedly political and one-sided

The French Democracy machinima fillum

"one-sided?"
errr
wtf?

where the hell does your head have to be to see that as one-sided?

The Japs are as bizarre, in their own unique way. Have you had wind of this before?

I'd like to post a 2 year snopes link but I'm a tad drunk. Can someone else do it? Cheers.

Er, bump!!11

I say bring on the solicitors. I enjoy verbally abusing them.
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 6th December 2005:

i prefer sexually abusing them

e.g. (and ipso facto):
"you got no dick, you cunt!"
Posted by Grim..., around 6th December 2005:

Because, obviously, all solicitors are male =]
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 6th December 2005:

the abuse quotient of that example IS halved if the target is female.

it is clearly not unisex abuse. i wonder if that renders it non-compliant with EU legislation?
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 6th December 2005:

to be on the safe side, i shall ask all lawyers to drop their skirts before sexually abusing them
Posted by Saltation_DUPE1, around 6th December 2005:

now, only the problems of scottish lawyers and pants-suits (pant-suits?) remain

Does anyone else hate this "where there's blame there's a claim" mentality the americans have ? If you trip over a broken paving slab should your first thought be "compensation time" !!! or should you be thinking "Well that was a fucking silly place to walk, I'll try to look where I'm going in future"
You don't need compensation. You need DETTOL !
Posted by WarHead, around 11th December 2005:

Depends how big the break in the slab is, or how much it sticks up. But generally speaking, I agree with the sentiment you express.

That reminds me of those cases where fatties sued McDonalds and smokers sued the cigarette companies. I want to gently suggest to the fatties : perhaps eating less than eleven big macs would do the trick?
Posted by WarHead, around 12th December 2005:

Careful, Cal could easily ban you for that comment, if he's in a tetchy mood.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 12th December 2005:

Cal's not fat?
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 12th December 2005:

But anyway, do you think they have a case?
Posted by WarHead, around 12th December 2005:

Isn't the argument that the companies knew about the detrimental effects of their products and failed to warn their customers? I know there have been health warnings in cigarette packets for several years, but they supposedly knew about the links with health problems long before they started publishing the warnings.

Cal's not fat?

1. That was not a question, was it?

2. My comment was a joke.

3. He does like his burgers, though.

&%$%&**^%$$$&

is that better, wh?

I am not being nasty to fatties : I am myself fat. But I see myself as being responsible for what I put in my mouth. Everybody on the planet knows that eating too much fast food can make you fat. Eating too much of anything makes you fat. So how can they blame the companies for their eating habits?

Heard this on the radio this morning, 94.7 The Rude Awakening, Jeremy Mansfield : so these two flies walk into a restaurant and order a plate of sh*t each. The one fly asks for garlic sauce with his, the other one says No garlic for me please it makes my breath stink.
Posted by WarHead, around 12th December 2005:

Not really. 'Cal's not fat' is a statement, not a question. Unless you are an Australian, of course.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 12th December 2005:

It is short for : Cal is not fat, why would he mind me saying that about fat people?
Posted by WarHead, around 12th December 2005:

Is it? I never got the hang of Afrikaans.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 12th December 2005:

Jy moet 'n bietjie harder probeer my man. Dit is beslis net nie goed genoeg nie. ;)
Posted by WarHead, around 13th December 2005:

He's definately plump. But I heard it was pizzas, not burgers.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 14th December 2005:

Mmmmmmmm. Pizza.

Of the photo's that I've seen of Cal, he doesn't seem plump to me...has he also put on forty pounds?
Posted by Alfie_DUPE1, around 14th December 2005:

Probably nearer £400,000

Look at the evidence, Doc.

He seems to have a penchant for sushi, too, but that's more likely to poison him quickly than make him inflate slowly.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 14th December 2005:

Nooooo, Cal eats pizza's on the sly.
Posted by WarHead, around 14th December 2005:

Parhaps so, but where's the photographic evidence?
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 14th December 2005:

Oh, no sorry, that's me. My mistake. No, I do really.
