It's a bit long, but a demonstration of why americans get get a little over excited about all this stuff..
Christmas lights opera
(makes rather essential noise)
I'm totally excited.
I like the peace symbol. There should be more of them.
Here are mine. No music or any other such exciting things...

The quality of the music from the Christmas opera house is very good too. At first I thought it must be added in afterward, but at 2:16 you hear some thunder in the background, suggesting that the sound is being recorded live.
It must be pretty loud (and the microphone on the camera must be pretty good, too).
It's a shame it's been forced to stop - things like that often collect money for charity.

Why my mum feels the need to draw attention to our crappy house around Christmas-time goes beyond comprehension.
I think they broadcast it on a radio frequency. people can tune it on their car radio.
sul's mum put up TWO santas -- that's a bit of a concern

ellipse, around 8th December 2005:
obviously sul's santa is gay
otherwise there would be a mrs santa
so the one on the left is a rentsanta and the one on the right is out cruisin for some action
my mind reels with seedy sack jokes

You cant see for the shear brightness of it but the strip of light running from ~the van wing mirror up has a horny snowman chasing yet another santa.

I always thought american kids grew on the north side of very shady trees, in a gloomy swamp maybe. A bit like toadstools

It's usually easy to tell where a person stands in the culture wars, but whose side is someone on when his Christmas decor is a blood-spattered Santa Claus holding a severed head?
