In case I am not around these parts for Christmas I would like to leave you with this Christmas message.

Jingle Smells

Someone posted the link on B3ta yesterday and I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself.

(turn your sound up, and click on Silent Night* or Jingle Smells)
*silent but deadly ;)

We have decided we might have Christmas lunch in a restaurant somewhere, lovely, no cooking or washing up. We're not going away anywhere because we couldn't decide what/where to do/go. We also thought it might be a nice idea to have a Christmas picnic in the mountains. What's everybody else doing? Going on holiday? Staying at home?

Have a great Holiday Season everyone!

Ho!Ho!Ho! Merry Christmas everyone!
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around 24th December 2005:

i remember one christmas, decorating the christmas tree on christmas eve seems to be our tradition (because we leave everything 'til the last minute) we decided to do as the yanks do and put strung popcorn on our tree. well, the oil went rancid so by the 6th January we had this really rank tree. Ah...memories.
Posted by Emma, 25th December 2005:

"decorating the christmas tree on christmas eve seems to be our tradition"

That's a wider tradition though. We only did ours today, not due to lateness.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, 25th December 2005:

Who, your Mum?
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around December 2005:

Yes
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around December 2005:

Before I go to bed I'll do a quick run down - Nirvana Sliver, Scrubs series 1 and 2, Stopit and Tidyup, a beer belt, socks, pants and smellys - the usual bag.

Go!

Morning Sul. How did you get on? Is it true there are no Christmas lights in London this year because they're all at your house?

No, seriously, I read in the Sunday Times Magazine over here that there had been some complaints about Christmas lights in London, so they've put up Ice Age images instead. Is that true?
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around December 2005:

Lets see, Mum was crying by 8AM and she was hammered by 10AM and I felt extremely uncomfortable all day. Fucking textbook. And yours?

No idea about the lights.
Posted by frankie_DUPE1, around December 2005:

you see sul, the whole point of christmas is to get so drunk that you dont notice the alcoholic relatives.
Posted by Sul_DUPE1, around December 2005:

I drank enough on the eve to get through the morning. But chasing my mum when she's built up a level of crazy-drunk that early is sheer madness. Sometimes a stomach pump does seem preferable but I know I'd be the one that ruined Christmas. Although I think she got so drunk she turned autistic. She was lying on the sofa, eyes-closed, half asleep, as we were playing Cranium.
The other teams go - "oooh god, errrm she's fat"
Quick as a flash, my mum - "Victoria Wood"
Same thing happened with Jo Brand. Both correct answers for the wrong team.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around December 2005:

Ah Sul. I'm forgiving you all your past, present and future grumpiness and will henceforth blame it all on your Mum. You poor blighter. She sounds like a bit of a whiner. Sorry mate.

No, I had a really wonderful Christmas. Went to a nice Italian restaurant and ate excellent Ravioli. There really is no wonder that I'm so fat. Then went to my boss's house for a few toots. It was great. Sorry to hear yours wasn't too nice. You're always welcome to come over here and spend Christmas with us you know. Save up for a ticket. ;)

Ahhh, Christmas. My sister gave me a tape of accordion music. Nut roast. Cranberries. More roast parsnips than I thought possible. Single Malt Whisky. Somehow I ended up watching "Rammstein; Live Aus Berlin" with my family. It's not even a present, we've had the video for ages. Amazing.
Posted by Boudicca_DUPE1, around December 2005:

Accordion music, yes! That would have gone well with the Italian restaurant.

"I hope you all had a good time (apart from sul...)"
I'm gonna let that slide as poor wording ;)

"a stuffed deer head on a stick"
Sounds cool. Please explian. Please say its some sort of toffee apple-like Dutch treat? That'd be an awesome fact to dish out at parties.
