do any of the PS gurus here know if it's possible to run photoshop CS off a network drive?

[mac os x 10.4 "tiger"] the installer refuses to allow installation anywhere except the boot disk (!!). moving the resulting folder to a network disk prevents the program running: aborts, complaining about missing key components in something like the "adobe required folder". nothing like this name exists on either the boot (orig.install) disk nor the network (copied folder) disk.

creating a local Alias to the network drive and running from within that has exactly the same abort+complain behaviour

anyone know if it IS possible to run PS off a network disk? and if so, how?
or can anyone aver that it is NOT possible? this would save me much time.

I doubt that you can.
But I don't know for sure.

I'd lean towards not though, so save yourself some time.
