Give TED the RSS feed for any TV series on your favorite Torrent site (torrentspy works well), tell him what episode you are up to and what season you are on, and TED will automatically add new episodes to your Bittorrent client.

TED is awesome.

Ted is good. I'll agree. But it doesnt work well with Bitlord, my BT client of choice. Azureus already had an RSS plugin but I'd never played with it that much and I dont like it as a client. Ted would make it easier for me. I'd change my client but I have a sister with too much time on her hands so I leave the morning downloads and AVI-MPG conversions to her for my evening viewing pleasure.

What really bothers me is that you're downloading loads of shows but havent even watched the first season of Lost yet. What's going on there?

I drooled all over myself when I saw ted.

That is amazing!

/me waits for the grins and giggles from the peanut gallery...

Actually, I don't use BT - it's stealing.
But the guy who sits next to me at work does.

"Actually, I don't use BT - it's stealing"

Depends what you use it for. Linux distros for example :)

I don't think TED works on those anyway, so you don't have to worry about your BT client =]

I could probably set Ted up to work on downloading the newest releases of my fav distros. But I wont. I steal telly shows. I'm not going to lie about it. I doubt Cal will shop my IP to the man should he come a-knockin'.
The way I see it is, I'm a commentary and extras junky so I need to buy DVDs when they come out anyway - the only loss of revenue they're getting is from advertising which I wouldnt have seen if I didnt download therefore there's no revenue lost.
Of course now that Telly shows are being put up on iTunes my argument is getting increasingly flimsy and eventually I'll just have to admint that I'm an impatient telly addict with tight purse strings.

I sat through Kong (not that impressive, I thought) in the Cinema yesterday.
Now, as I've paid £5.50 to watch it, am I allowed to download it?

I should be, IMO.

Hmmm. Not sure a once off payment works as a moral basis for theft. Thats kinda like saying "I rented it from blockbuster so I'm allowed to copy it". Work on it though. I'm always looking for justification of my loose morals. Being poor just isnt the excuse it used to be.

*tsk*
having no excuse is no excuse
